Attracted to all heat sources

Tula really likes any kind of heat source. Underneath blankets, heat registers, steamy bathroom while someone takes a shower, freshly dryed towels, the front of the dryer after it was just on, etc...

I notice that her coat doesn't seem as thick as Chance's. Could that be the reason? Chance isn't drawn to heat sources at all.

Does anyone else have a boxer like this?

Both of my Boxers love heat in the winter time, & clothes taken out of the dryer winter or summer.

I forgot they love my electric blanket on my bed or should I say their bed.

If you look at Melvin and Zoe's pictures on "show off your dog "you will see a picture when Zoe was a baby and her head is laying on the heat register. I kept wondering if she would get to hot but apparently not. It was too cute.

In the summer, we can never leave Tula outside for too long because she will never come out of the sun. She's gotten sun burned before.

Bella is a big fan of the floor registers. When she comes in from outside at this time of year the first place she goes is the living room vent. Even when it isn't that cold she still likes to lay on it. I think it's a combination of the warm air and just the fact that it blows on her because she also loves to sit in front of the fan in the summer, even if it isn't hot!

Is that the only thing you notice? When I moved out to Denver w/ my boxer, Harley, I noticed that my sister's boxer who was roughly the same age as Harley (2yrs old), also slept on the heater register and had thinning hair. He also seemed to sleep more that he ought to, and was a little grumpy sometimes and his skin started to turn black (hyperpigmentation). Turns out he had hypothyroidism. Just keep an eye out for worsening hair loss or any new symptoms such as the ones I listed

Bo loves to sit in front of the wall vent while we are showering...the best of both worlds...ive actually found him inching towards the oven door when something is cooking too

Yeah, Tula too..the heat comes out the hottest in the bathroom vent. I forgot about the oven, she usually lays in front of it while it's on.

In the summer, Tula is ALL about the fan...She loves to let her jowels catch a nice breeze! She will also jump into the bathtub so I can rub a cold wet rag on her underbelly (but that's only after a long walk on a hot day).

Abbie is the same way, me too to an extent. She lays on the floor registers, even when it is too hot for me to keep my feet on it. I wonder how she doesn't get burnt but if you take he off, she won't stand up and as soon as you let her go, she stands up and runs back to the register. When I am folding cloths out of the dryer, she has to stand right in front of it, I even caught he halfway in it one time while I went into the bathroom to put towels away, I came out and she had her fron thalf of her body resting on the warm clothes inside. When I get something out of the oven, she runs to it, not to see what I am getting out but because of the heat, which scares me to death! She usually stays away from the bathroom when someone is getting a shower. I might as well forget about using an electric blanket...

Brady is the exact opposite, go figure.
