All,
If everything looks good for Brook Run and people on this thread are keen to the location, Irene, Mango and I will go to the park early Sunday morning and post here by 9am that everything looks good for our bash.

I live in East Point. It's not far from the airport. The park is like a 60 mile roundtrip for us. I would like to participate weather permitting (rain forecasted) but I'm reluctant to drive so far. I do enough of that during the week. :)

as soon as you know its TOTALLY fenced and other particulars please post so I can come...
Also is the parking near the entrance..I have 2 guys and its hard..they walk me not vice versa....

I have confirmation from the DeKalb County Parks & Recreation Department that the Brook Run Dog park is TOTALLY fenced and that parking is close. The park is apparently very nice, and open to the public from dawn to dusk.

We're in East Atlanta and it should take us around 25 minutes in light traffic, which isn't too bad at all.

We'll definitely be there with Mango at 11am this Sunday. We'll still go early and post on the board that everything looks good, but it doesn't look like there's anything to worry about at this point.

If anyone has any other questions about the Brook Run dog park, the phone number for the DeKalb County Parks & Recreation Department is phone number removed by Moderator: Read the Rules. Someone picks up immediately and they should be able to answer your questions (i.e.- you won't have to wait on the phone 10 minutes and talk to 4 people to get your answer).

I think I mentioned in an earlier post that their is also a children's playground in the same park facility.

I just moved to Atlanta from Birmingham, AL. Chloe and I would love to come and meet everyone! Sunday 11am at Brook Run, Right?
