I'm no expert but I have a question....

Is she going to specific location in your house to pee? Perhaps she has marked that location. Is the area carpeted? Same reason, the area may have a scent that tells her it's ok to go there.
There are things on the market that are supposed to discourage the dog from going to the same areas to pee. If you haven't tried these products try them. There is also an enzyme carpet shampoo that kills the scent in carpet. Does she pee when she is excited? That's what some puppies do exspecially when they are nervous. Does she act as if she is sneaking? Or does she not have control at all. I'm told the eventually grow out of that bad habit.
So if you could examine those issues and rule them out as a reason maybe there is a medical reason and or cure. I would be interested how this situation turns out. As she apparently is smart enuf to know where she is supposed to go cause she goes to the door.
Good luck
Oh one more thing....Did you crate train her? Dogs won't pee as a rule where they sleep. Keep her in a crate to sleep, take her out immediatetly when you let her out the crate. Feed her then take her out again. Then keep her under close supervison when she is let out watching for sign of having to go and take her out when she acts like she is looking for a place to pee.. That's how I train my dogs.

I potty trained my two earlier this year and what follows are the things I found most important:

- When you take your dog outside, give the praise the moment your dog starts to eliminate. Make it good, your dog won't think you look silly. ;) This means you have to stay outside with your dog and watch her pee or poop everytime.

- Close all the interior doors in your home. Try and keep her in a smaller area with you, so you can see the moment she starts sniffing.

- It may sound obvious, but take her after every nap, every meal and every 30-60 mins in between.

- Try and adopt the attitude that if she messes in the house it's your fault not hers (you have to retrain yourself!). I would say "Oh no, poor thing, mummy forgot to take you out in time". This lets your dog know it's not a good thing, but it's not anger either.

- If you catch her in the act, try the "Oh no!" in a dismayed voice and quickly grab her up and take her outside. Yes, this may mean dribbles of pee all through your house or even on your feet in the process, but a week of that is better than a lifetime of pee in the house. When she finishes her peeing outside, PRAISE her.

Rather than trying to teach her not to pee in the house, think of it as teaching her it's GOOD to pee outside.

Think positive and consistent. A couple of weeks of standing outside making an idiot of yourself, day and night in any kind of weather over a dog peeing or pooping isn't all that much fun. But if you are honestly consistent, it will work.

She may have the occassional accident as any baby would, but she will know the proper place to eliminate.

Oh, and crating? My two were crated at night and never messed in their crates. Good luck!! Give your precious girl a hug for me! :)

as if I weren't long enough already?

I may sound over enthusiastic about the potty training, but after failing miserably with my first dog, a cocker spaniel, I was determined to succeed with these two.

I was absolutely GOB SMACKED when it worked! If it works for me, it will work for anyone!

I too am about to pull my hair out trying to housebreak Creed. He's actually starting to get it though. Twice yesturday he came to my husband and looked at him only for about 5 seconds right in the face and then took off playing. He took the hint (slight as it was) and rushed him outside. And it was a success! But later he had an accident...But oh well, he's learning just like we are.

BAD Housetraining Evening

OK...puppy has been here a week. She has doing REAL good. Only a few accidents in the week.

Tonight she's pee'd about 20 times since 6 pm. About 12 outside and 7 inside. She'd had accidents when the boys got home (which I expect 'cause they are not as diligent).

Then, when I got home my wife was complaining about the amount of peeing since she got home (with frequent trips outside).

She's done about three or four more bad deeds inside since I got home iabout an hour and a half ago. Rapid fire, too, with no warning...only five or ten minutes after going outside!

No poo inside though....:)

Not sure if we just chalk it up to a bad day...

Could she be sick or something wrong to make her pee that much? She's only 12 weeks old....

Creed is also 12 weeks old and the amount of pee that comes out of that boy is finaminal! (sp?)
We've had a few accidents which is to be expected. He's usually too busy playing to let me know he's got to go. He's getting better, but we've got a ways to go I think:) Until then I'll be the one shampooing the carpet 3 times a week!

This is sort of on-topic.. I noticed a comment on the 'amount of pee that comes out of a male' before being 'phenominal.'

My four month girl Sierra pee's longer than I do in the mornings. I am impressed with her ability to hold pee.

Though she's gaining ground in the farting category - I still win in farting and burping. I give her a big 'Good Guuurl!' every time she farts. I don't know if it helps.

Am I a sicko? Nah, I just love my dog... I've had great success with her house training just by being so obsessed with everything she does, as I still am today. It doesn't sicken me to watch her pee, it doesn't sicken me to watch her poop. Every now and then I go take a look at her poop to, just to make sure it looks 'healthy.'

btw- I'm a first time dog owner, and I just stumbled upon getting a boxer. I can't wait until a few years pass when I'll just HAVE to get her a brother or sister (boxer of course.) I've uploaded pic's of her taken throughout her life on earth, just search for Sierra..
- don't worry I didn't upload any pictures of her peeing or pooping.
