Lately I have started noticing that most posters in BW are females. I've seen a vast # of names such as "--- mom" or "---mommy" and not many "---dad". I wonder why this is. Could it be more females are attracted to the boxer breed, or is it simply that women like to post more and talk more about their dogs???

My personal opinion is that women like to talk more about their furbabies.. My dh is a complete animal nut as I am but I can talk about them all day and he actualy has other interests ;)

haha! It is the complete opposite here. I talk about my pup all day to my wife. She says she's sick of it and that I am crazy for spending all this time in BW. I think she's jealous.:)

You're always seeing the "Sara" half of Sara&Travis. He calls me a junkie - even though he is as crazy as I am about Sammy. Sammy lives with me, though, so I always have the questions/comments day to day. This is interesting - I always wonder this whenever someone's post doesn't clarify in any way.

Female here. I think that women tend to "fuss" more to others about our furbabies, as we do our skin-kids. Most men would think that there are better things to do. I bet that the majority of the womens other halves gush over their furbabies just as much..at home and in private. I say this because from my own experience, I've had "macho men" types who do not like to show their sensitive and vulnerable side. I wish more men would, because personally, I find that attractive. :)

That is interesting. My wife and ex-girlfriends always have considered me to be a "macho man" but when it comes to my son and pup I definetly am not.

I find it interesting for you to say that you find men who show their sensitive side attractive...I would've thought women in general would kind of like this trait in a "friend" not a "bf or dh.":) Maybe this is just from my experience.

DH and I are both members here. He drives truck so is unable to post as much as me, but he loves to get on here. Just like you, spIke2005 my DH is a "manly man" until our daughter or fur babies are involved then he's a big softie. And like xenaprincess, I find it endearing that he's a tough guy with a big heart!
