Tyson is 13 months old now, and I have been considering getting another boxer. A female so that tryson can have a friend to play with, so that hes not bored when I cant play with him. I have no desire at all to ever breed them, so that has nothing to do with this. I just though that tyson would prefer a female playmate. I know Ill be spending more money on food and such, but how much more work is two boxers over just the one that I have now. I really do want to get another one, but I want to make sure that Im not getting over my head here. Can anyone that has been in a similar situation and decided to take on another boxer, please give me some feedback.
Also this may seem sellfish,
, but tyson follows me everywhere, all over the house, and I love it. Its so cute. If I have another boxer, I dont want to have to compete for tysons attention. I guess Im asking will bring him a playmate into the house make him less affectionate to me?
One final thing, Tyson can sometimes cause the house to stink. I bathe him regularly and clean the house to keep the odor down, but honestly will two boxers in the house be double the dog odor?
I do really want another boxer, I just want to make sure I know what Im getting into. Thanks.
