Are all boxers so quiet?

All three of mine "TALK" but they are not big barkers. I have alway heard that boxers can but usually do not bark alot. I have found this to be true with mine. Don't get me wrong they can set up a ruckus when they need to be heard.

My Jax "talks" a lot and makes wookie sounds and the whole bit. i have noticed he really doesn't bark at other dogs, even if they are barking at him but he barks when he's playing.

I think this is individual personality as Athena never barks unless commanded and it still like she doesn't know how or doesn't enjoy it, but she will whine. Apollo on the other hand will bark at anything, pants, shoes, cats, you name it. I have however noticed from being around some other boxers other than my own that they are typically non vocal, then again there's is my personal experience. Others may have different opinoins.
My boxer also seem to completely ignore other dogs barking across the block even when there's like 10 of them barking, it doesn't seem to bother them, it seldom even gets their attention, if it does it last about 20 sec. then they're back to rummaging around.

Mine only bark when they have too--if someone comes to the door. BUT they love to TALK!! Especially my male--he woo-woos at us all the time--usually to complain that he isn't getting attention.

Charlie - at least so far - only barks at things. The broom, the rake, the weight ball, the box, and best of all his shadow. I love that one. It's all play barking though. We did notice the other night that he was growling at the back door. We figured it was a squirrel or a cat but when we opened the door to see what was out there, he was too afraid to go out. Our big protector .

Rocky is pretty quiet, he will bark only if he feels threatenend and even then just one or two very deep big boy barks. Enjoy the silence, my Mia the boston makes so muchnoise, she barks just to hear her own voice, absolutely nothing going on and she will bark!

Keeya only really barks at the cat or when she's playing with a new toy. She does make the woo-woo sound and when she yawns she makes a funny noise. Other than that she's pretty quiet.

Rowdy is NOT at all ever quiet. Even when he's asleep he's snoring...
He barks to talk to me, he barks to talk back, he growls, and woo-hoo at his toys. He whines when he wants to play. I thought most boxers were supposed to be quiet. My sisters boxer rarely ever barks.
Glad I don't have the only talkative one.

We adopted Lizzie last September and it took her a couple of weeks before she barked. She was in a foster home before we got her, and I don't think she barked there at all -- she was fostered for a couple of weeks, too. She has no problem barking now! I think she just needed to feel comfortable and that she was finally home.
