Hello Fellow Boxer Lovers!
I haven't had a chance to post since I introduced myself. We became boxer parents to Zoey this past May. Zoey is a 3 year old female boxer who came from a home where she was neglected. We don't believe she was abused, but she was terribly underweight when we bought her. When we met the previous owner and Zoey, I had serious reservations about buying her because I thought maybe we were getting hustled into paying for a sick dog. That is how underweight she was. Much to our relief, the vet told us that she is in perfect health but very underweight. I explain all of this because I am wondering if maybe there was something in her upbringing that she doesn't bark. We have only heard her bark twice since we have had her. Once at the truck alarm when my husband accidentally hit the panic button and the other time was with a new toy. Are all boxers this quiet? She is a very happy dog who gets a lot of love and attention, and that loves her toys and loves to see if she can get to the squirrels in the backyard before they get in the trees.
I grew up in a family who always had Springer Spaniels that were vocal. I now turn to the BW family who can hopefully answer my questions.
Thanks.
