So I know I'm not allowed to have conversations with one particular person, I'm not usually a rule breaker and I don't wanna start now lol .............

So we will be driving 5 hours in 2 weeks to pick up a brindle baby girl. Our family has been lost without Tyson. He is missed so much, the kids constantly ask for another puppy. I made them put in just as much work with Tyson as I did, so they are completely aware of what it takes, considering we really just went through it. So my dh knew I wouldn't make the final step of putting a deposit down because in my mind I felt like I was betraying Tyson, I don't know why , I just did. But he felt like Tyson showed us what boxer love is and we can't be without one for long. So in two weeks we get to pick her up :)

Sooooooo I want to ask EVERYONE what they think of the name "Arabella" I also wanted to ask the only Arabella I've ever known and her mommy how they feel about that....I am in no way offended to hear no!!!! Also if everyone thinks this request it a bit tacky ...let me have it! Lol I searched the entire forum and sure enough.....only one Arabella. Lol with tyson ....lots and lots and lots of Tysons lol. I want to attach a pic but I have yet been able to figure that out. But I have always loved arabella's name since the first time I heard it, and of course arabella is just too cool of a personality, so it's a really irresistible name to me. And to hear our 4 year old say Arabella, yep....too cute. But we're not fully decided and I said I had to ask everybody what they thought first...including Arabella herself :) if there is only enough room for one Arabella on this forum....I completely understand :) so that's my first choice, and any other name ideas would be great! We definitely like beautiful girly different kind of names lol....until I can upload a pic, she is a dark brindle with lots of flash. She has a full white collar and white markings on her face, legs & chest and white socks on her back feet. I'm gonna see this evening if I can figure out how to upload pics lol. Thanks you guys!!!

I am so happy you have found a baby to love! Arabella and I will be honored that you name your girl the same name. BTW the meaning of Arabella is "answered prayer". I think that is extremely appropriate for your new girl! I can't wait to see the some pics. BTW I was living in VA near Charlottesville when I got her. She came from the South Boston area. I am excited for you!

I actually did know the name meant answered prayer I just wasn't sure if the website I read that on was correct so I didn't wanna say it until I knew for sure :) but it's nice to know it is in fact it's meaning. Brings a little tear to my eyes actually to confirm that. We only live about 30 min. From charlottesville , too neat! south Boston isn't where we are getting our baby girl from, but that would have been too awesome if there was a connection there! I think miss Arabella with her princess self is just too cool :) she's a girl with her own mind , I love hearing about her little adventures! I can't help but think of her personality when I say the name. Thank you for being willing to share her name. It's the one that has my vote, but looking at my competition, I might be in the lead lol, my son being the little rotten boy he is , thinks naming her " booger" would be "so awesome" lol... so I feel like I'm in the lead with arabella lol.

Well Arabella is a stubborn girl and she is usually called Brat more than anything. lol. So if you name her Arabella, her nickname can be Booger. Everyone wins! :D

My roommate from college (and best friend) rescued a brindle old English mastiff female with white markings. She wanted a really girly name for this big dog and picked Chloe. At first, I thought Chloe was this dainty little name that wouldn't work for this huge dog. But then I got used to it and thought it was awesome to call this big massive dog Chloe.

But I also love the name Arabella too. Good luck making a decision!

The name Arabella reminds me of Disney movies hence brings to mind a Princess . I hope that Pam does not mind that sometimes when replying to a post about Arabella I refer to her as Princess Arabella and most princesses in the movies act like a bit of a brat so she is just living up to her name !!
IMO a Boxer is way too beautiful to be called Booger I don't know about the States but in Ireland its something that comes out of your nose !!

On REFLECTION to my last statement my sister has nicknamed Roge Snot-a-lot because when he gets excited he does this funny huffy puffy thing that causes a spray so your Son could be not too far off the mark with that name ...ha ha.

I love you call her Princess, because she every bit of one! Her AKC registered name is Starling's Princess Arabella and she lives up to it!

I love the name Arabella! Probably because I love hearing about and seeing the pics of Pam's Arabella (the doggles kill me). She really seems to bring the name alive.

I had only heard it once before and she was a beautiful, giant fluffy cat.

Congratulations on your little boxer girl and we'd love to see her picture:)
