Just curious if anybody else out there has GSP? We have two of them, along with our boxer Cassius. We are definately dog lovers! foolicon

My next store neighbor got a GSP last Aug. he was 10 weeks old. The first night we put my boxer and the pup together and Casey started acting like it was her pup. They are best friends. They made up some games and they have rules in these games, it's so funny watching them play. His name is Gunner I love there eyes.

We have a GSP named Gus. He is a solid liver and we love him to death even though he is a basket case.....He sleeps with his ball in his mouth and will go on point at a fly on the wall.....He went through seven homes in his first year of life before coming to ours.....He is definately a HIGH energy dog but since two acres of our lawn is fenced for the dogs he gets plenty of exercise. We are thinking of training him for search and rescue since he definately has the intence drive those dogs need and is very driven......We tried agility but he refuses to do the weave poles and has to carry his ball around the course...There are pics of him in my gallery.......

I love GSPs!

We don't have a GSP but seriously considered it before getting our boxer Farley. By all accounts, they are simply not dogs to have in a small apt. Our friends have one who they rescued from a home where he stayed in a crate all day, every day. He doesn't know how to play and is very needy. When nervous, he finds the smallest little crack he can to crawl into, I guess a throwback to his days of always being confined. But, he is such a wonderful dog and so very grateful for his new home.

I love Pointers!!

I adopted our GSP almost five years ago from a shelter in Denver, CO. My husband saw him as we came around a corner at the shelter and said "I have to have that dog." He was almost six months old and was very skinny and timid. He is still a little timid at times, but we love him for all his quirks. We have since moved to Louisville, KY and I rescued a neglected boxer from a family. Slider, our GSP, lived with us in a small apartment for almost a year when we first moved and he adjusted really well, but now he loves to run in the yard.
