I have to fly to Tulsa on Saturday night, but I'm up for a bash, weather permitting. I'll try to bring my wife and skin baby, weather permitting.
Anyone located in the Dallas area?

Well, it looks like Ruthie and I and hubby won't be making it this weekend...
She's still hacking a bit from the kennel cough, and I don't want to give it to any other dogs. Plus, the vet didn't want to give her the rabies shot until she's better, so she doesn't have that yet. I guess we'll just have to wait another week.
I really like the idea of the once a week informal get-together, though! I think we'll be able to make next week! :D

IT WILL NOT RAIN . . . IT WILL NOT RAIN . . . maybe if we all repeat 100 times this AM someone (?) will listen.
I promised Baron and Sadie that unless it comes a flood WE WILL go to the Doggie Park to run and play today. Unfortunately, the weather forecasters say there is another line of rain headed this way, but it should arrive midmorning and at this time it is clear behind it. They are so "upset" they are still snuggled under the covers on MY side of the bed sleeping (precious babies all 130 lbs of them) !!
Keep your fingers crossed - hope to see you around noon. Drive safely !!!

I'm not sure if we'll be there today. I'm still waiting to see how the weather will be since I will have to drive so far. It's been sprinkling here and verry cloudy. Bosco's in the kitchen pouting. :(

I'm home sick. If I go to the park, I won't be in any condition to work this weekend. I guess my priorities are messed up,huh. Our next bash should be in 3 weeks. I am off pager that weekend and I should be well by then. If I get to feeling better, I will try to get out there, but I don't think that is going to happen.

OK . . . call us "hard-headed" or maybe just "stupid" BUT the four of us (Jim, Cindy, Baron and Sadie) were at the Boxer Bash pretty much by ourselves this morning!! I hope we didn't miss anyone. Yes, it was wet and muddy . . . but we got there about 11:50 AM and it was barely sprinkling so I convinced all that we could play until it started raining harder. Baron and Sadie were "go", Jim was a little hesitant since we were in his car (oops). I promised to clean up the mud - which I have yet to do.
Anyway, Mindy and Max (4 months old, fawn, floopy and docked) joined us. Mindy works with Jim and was anxious to see how baby Max would do "runnin' wild and free". He had a great time UNTIL it started raining and then all of the boxer babies (and the three of us) were ready to go.
Sorry, everyone, we were so looking forward to a fun day. Do we dare think next weekend will be better? If the weather is nice, I am sure we will try again, as discussed earlier, next Sat. about 1:00ish. Good news - with all of this rain the grass and flowers should be really pretty before long !!

I was about to send out a message that we were thinking hard as to go or not ...
But by 1:30 the weather was looking sorta ok to try, ssoooo we got everyone in the van, and headed out there!
We saw Henry, he is a CUTIE!!!
(Nice meeting you guys, and your sis too!)
We did get sooo muddy as well, but then we have a working washing machine .. LOL ..
My youngest was trampled a few times, but she knows what it is like to have a boxer .. she still loves you Henry, Niko made up when she got home
