Anyone located in the Dallas area?

Oh, I sure hope we can make it this coming weekend! I'd really like to get our new girl out to visit with other dogs. She so wants to play! Is there a fenced in area at this park? Or should we go buy a long leash? She sure doesn't know "come" yet!

Hopefully Ruthie will be over the cough by this weekend. We're already on our second set of antibiotics. :(

this park is HUGE, 20 acres or so, and there's no "fence" i can think of off hand.

generally our guys stick together to play. if you feel like she'll run off, i'd get a 30 foot lead. it can get a lil complicated when they're wrestling though.

kaiser usually (and i say usually so i dont jinx myself) will come back when called, and if ruthie and he are playing, then she'll probably be up for a chase

hope lil ruthie feels better so that she can come out n play

Hi Becky and Ruthie . . .

Please try to come on Saturday. I know that two other "babies" age 4 months and 4 1/2 months will be there. As Vasha shared, the dogs run loose, but they generally stay together and fairly close by. Even if she starts running, there really isn't any where for her to get out and/or get in the street, etc. I bet you will be surprised at how much fun she has.

Last Friday evening, Rowdy (our new friend), I believe he is just 4 months was there and he stayed right with my two adults and just ran and played and played until all three of them could hardly walk back to the car.

Let's all hope and pray for a sunny, dry week so we can enjoy each other, our Boxer Babies and a fun day for all. I am planning to bring some snacks / picnic for us (and dogs)so we can stay for
the afternoon.

NICE!!!!

It sounds like this bash is going to be a big event. I went out this last weekend and picked up a 2 gallon cooler for water for the babies to drink out of so i would just recommend that the skins bring a gallon or 2 so that we dont run out, and the babies can play for a long time. Also looks like we are picking up more kids to play together...soon it might be a boxer bash more often. I know that a few of us like vasha, and i/with kaiser, and barclay and skins, and rocky, and skins are ususally there almost every weekend around 1 ish on sat. Maybe we could get to gether more often than once a month?...just a suggestion...

I vote we should be there too on saturdays ... we are about 5 minutes from there, so we're game for anything (other than the YUCKY weather!!) Ok, so I heard that it was going to be 'clowdy' and maybe some rain this week.... aarrggg .. anyhow, I hope that it doesn't do too much rain, we have a make-up soccer game this thursday night, and another one on Saturday .... we are sooooo going to come to the BB this saturday ..... just keep your paws crossed for NO RAIN!!! .... The usual problem is the weather for our younger ones. I think Niko is a bit like us, no rain, no cold weather, and no 115* weather either, or she'd be fine! She is an old dog ya know

I don't think we can wait much longer, we went to the one in Feb, and we haven't been out there for one reason or another, we are about due for some boxer fun!!

bashes and saturdays

Hi all- yep -lets keep our fingers crossed- they are saying "slight chance" of rain- maybe we will luck out. I would be sooo bummed if we got rained out again-
We are planning on heading up on as many Saturdays as possible. There really is no better exercise for our guy than running around in that awesome field/park with his breed buddies. OK, so there's no better guilt relief for me either! :p

I think we should keep the formal once-a-month event, but then have a standing noonish to 2ish invite for all area boxers and sibling dogs. Lord Raiden, sir, I think its a marvelous idea!
See you all on Saturday- We're REALLY looking forward to it!!
