My Max has his tail. I thought about having it removed when he was neutered but I couldn't go through with it. It is like a whip when it hits your legs, but you get used to it. I have grown to like it. It makes me laugh when he gets excited and is kidney beaning and his big tail is flopping around everywhere.

Boxer Insane
My Beau has his tail, and it did take some getting used to seeing a tail on a boxer. I love his tail now, and we haven't had any problems with it in the three years I've had him. I don't even think it hurts when his tail hits me. Beau was a rescue also.

Super Boxer
We have one of each. Trooper Thorn is docked, but BeBop's breeder never got around to it. To be honest, if I had a choice, I would prefer them both docked. Bebop has knocked over his share of coffee table items, and yes it is like a little whip when he shakes or wags too hard.

BUT!!!

I do love that we can actually hear him thump his tail. He is such a happy, loving dog, and sometimes when his tail is under the dresser, we hear it beat double time as it hits the bottom of the dresser and the floor. Plus, Bebop is actually one of the only dogs I know that chases his tail. It is hysterical! Picture the fastest boxer burn you have ever seen, and then, picture it being done in a 2 foot circle!!

You can kind of see his tail in my photo gallery in the "Howly Jowly Christmas" pic & "BeBop's first night home". I'll try to get a better on with his tail up and unfurled.

Don't worry about your pup. BeBop has never had a problem with it, and he has put some serious butt wagging abuse on it!

It's pretty rare for anyone with a tailed boxer to report any problems (unscheduled coffee table clearances don't count ;)).
There are also quite a few pictures in the gallery of those natural boxers :)

 That's all I've ever had a problem with!!! Isis has her tail (my choice) and is a natural beauty. Her tail is such an expressive part of her - she has different wags for different situations. I can even tell what she is doing when she goes potty by whether her tail is curled up or crooked!!! Honest to God!

Aramis has his tail.

And we love it, at first I was ceptic about it, but now that i'm used to it the only thing that I can say is that, I Love it and I can't see him with out it!!!!

Completely Boxer Crazy
My 2 have tails and it is no problem for anyone. I have noticed they get better at controlling it as they get older and we are in the habit of putting drinks well out of harms way. It makes me laugh though when they sniff each others butts and get a good whack in the head for their trouble. Doesn't seem to bother them though, it's obviously not bad manners to smack someone with your tail if they have their head up your backside.
