Anyone elses Boxer likes beer?????

No I don't actually giver her her own beer, but when I crack one open occasionally at night Mia comes running. Taz ( the Chihuahua) takes one whiff and makes a face like just snorted sulfer (even if it is a Corona- :D ). Mia however cannot be trusted, I can't leave a beer on a table and walk away. If I do I'll hear her knock it over and start drinking. I took her with me to a car event with some friends and of course there was pizza and beer. I had to warn people not to set their Miller's on the ground or else she'd take them. Or course some didn't listen.

I don't drink much and when I do it's usually away from home and J.C. isn't with so I have no idea how he would react to it. I just wanted to comment that as boxers are german in origin, it would make sense that they like beer!

Our pets are a bit different. Java (boxer) doesn't particularly like beer, but Georgia (the cat) loves it! It's her liquid courage. She had some once when we spilled a beery and then she instantly leapt to the top of our bookcase from the couch . . . a massive leap that she has only ever attempted when she's been drinking!

Titan has been know to knock over the box we store the empties in on the deck, strew the cans around and try to get the very last drop haha

Whenever I have a sore throat I make a hot tody. Tea, lemon, honey, and Tuaca ( an Italian whiskey) If I leave it unattended my princess will come and drink the whole cup up.

Spencer used to be trained to drink out of the bottle. I of course had to hold it for him. He'd get so obnoxious and do that garbled, high-pitched, whine-bark noise until he got his swig. I'd just pop the bottle in his jowel and give a quick tip. He'd never spill or dribble, it was pretty impressive.

Ronin has never had the chance to consume spirited beverages We used to have a Boxer boy who had an affinity for white wine (Chardonnay to be exact). If we happened to leave a glass of it within his reach - we would catch him lapping it up right out of the glass :rolleyes:
