I would really rather it be at an off-leash park. The drive doesn't bother me. Heck it there is a better one in Tulsa we would be up for that. What matters is we, furbabies included, have a good time. I don't think the furbabies would have as good of a time being on-leash.

No dog parks in Tulsa, but I'm working on it.~~ :)

I have never been to a boxer bash or any dog bash lol so I wasn't sure how it worked. You are right the dogs would be alot happier off leash. Unless they get they get the new dog park open by hefner lake Yukon is the only one I know of. I Still am not sure when we are going to Branson. Why I was worried about the hr drive I have never had the babies in the car over a 15 min drive and was not sure how they would handle it. One of them gets car sick.lol

I talked to the person managing the build of the dog park by Lake Hefner. It won't be completed until mid to late August. I drove by the place where it will be. It's going be a great area when they are finished. Complete with a duck pond walking trails and plenty of trees.

So it looks like Yukon it is.
Ok, how does the 9th of August starting around 1100 sound to everybody?. I will bring a canopy tent, so we can have some shade.

Instead of bringing a grill out. I suggest we bring our favorite dish, i.e. potato salad or KFC? Whatever you want to bring, please submit a reply to this thread. We don't want everybody bringing the same thing.

I'll bring a bucket of chicken.

Aug. 9 sounds good to me. However, 11:00 may be a bit early as we have to get loaded and drive to Yukon from Tulsa. But we'll try as best we can to be there close to 11:00am

I'll bring a home baked pie (or two). We'll see what fruits I can get that are freshly picked shortly beforehand.

I'm excited. It should be fun. :)

Pets and People

To know how to get there visit Pets and People . It has a rough printable map. It's on the north side of Yukon. When you get there the park is on your left and the main building is on your right.
