Any new Chicagoland bash dates planned?

Hi! I read the posts about the Naperville Greene Valley play date and it looked like those who went had a lot of fun.

We live in Chicago but would be willing to meet up somewhere around...

Riley and I got to the Montrose Beach when it's hot...and there are a few play lots that are open on Saturdays (they're enclosed so you can play in the winter). But we'd really like to meet up with other rambuncous dogs to play outside.

Oooh, Also are there any other Boxer Rebound families out there that are going to the bash in Sept? We adopted Riley from there and are planning on attending. Just curious...thanks

Hello!

We're from Romeoville but wouldn't mind going to Chicago for a play date. We have rotating days off and don't have weekends off like most everyone else :(, so give us a date and location (if you decide on Montrose Beach) and we'll try to make it if we're off then.

We would love to meet up for boxer play at Montrose some day. We live in Evanston and go to the beach there, but would head down to meet other boxers. Keep posting if you find a date that works. I know there are other boxers who go there so it would be fun to get all of them together.

Our Riley (Lol!) is 9 1/2 weeks and growing fast.
We're in Northbrook but would definitely make the trip.

LuckyDog - if there's a place around Evanston you'd like to meet up at some weekend, I'm sure our Riley would love it.

I spent the weekend in Chicago last weekend and BOY am I jealous of y'alls dog beaches!! They are beautiful and I can just imagine how much fun they must be.

LuckyDog: Does Evanston have a regular dog beach or do you need a resident permit? (My office used to be on Greenwood! I LOVE Evanston!)

I wouldn't mind meeting there some time either.

Rocco850: Let me know what else is around you...maybe there's somewhere in the middle a bunch of people can meet up at (like Oak Brook, Lombard, etc.)

Evanston's dog beach is permit only. But, there are a few parks that we take Lucky to that don't need permits. There's also Montrose Beach which doesn't need a permit.

Would anyone like to meet there Sunday -- preferably in the morning?

Rocco broke his Toe!!!!! So we're not going to be able to go to any dog parks until the first week of September! :(

Linswatson usually meets up at the dog park with us but her puppy has HOD now, poor little guy. (He's beautiful!)

He was playing outside with a bulldog and Rocco always plays so goofy and someone how broke his toe. I didn't know it at first but he kept licking his back foot. I thought maybe he stubbed it or stepped on something. He got back up and start playing again. We took him to the vet and they X-rayed him and found out he has a broken toe and mild hip displasia. (I put a thread about that in the health forum). Poor little guy loves to play and you'd never know his toe was broken the way he runs around the house. They put a splint on his back foot and a taped it up.
We can't wait till he heals b/c he would really love to meet up with you guys and play!
