super cute Riley Squared photos

Hi WTRiley...I have some cute shots to send to you. Personal mail me and I'll email them to you. (I tried to click on your name, but it says you have PM turned off.)

It was great to meet you! :)

PS...we know exactly what you mean with the Napolean complex. The only dogs in our area that are nasty to Riley are those less than 15 pounds. He doesn't understand it either...he always just stands there silent and stares at them. Always seems that he's thinking "Why are you doing that?".

Evanston Beaches

Hi All....I would love to meet up as well the next time....funny ..I am in Evanston too and live a stones throw from the south street beach..
The Evanston dog beach requires season passes but I believe that that is only until the beginning of September.
We don't go there a lot cause Portia is always gulping the water and invariably has some sort of stomach trouble for days afterwards....that being said she would lLOVE to get together!!!

Sorry to hear a pup got hurt at Montrose..We have never been there but I can't say that weekends in summer are a good time to head to the beach...too much chaos and energies out there. Hope the pup is ok..Animal 911 in Skokie is phenominal!!!

I just wanted to give a quick update on Ms. Lucky. Her ear is healing well. It looks like it might leave a little scar, but nothing too bad. She's still full of energy and happy as can be.

If anyone is ever interested in meeting up again, we would love to do that. Lousabelle, where do you go to play? We will probably be at the beach this weekend (if its nice). I think we'll be at the Evanston/Skokie Pooch Park tonight if you have a pass for there.

If anyone knows of a fun park that doesn't need passes, then we can all meet up sometime.

Have a good day!

Hey LuckyDog...I'm glad to hear that Lucky's ear is doing better.

I looked up the Pooch Park (3220 Oakton in Skokie), but it doesn't say how much it is (it says varies). Does anyone know the cost? We'd probably be willing to get a pass to that one since it's so much closer to our house (we're up that way all the time anyhow). How is it? A good facility? ***Ok, I just called the park district...it's $35 for Skokie or Evanston residents and $70 for everyone else, but he said we could come and "try it before we buy it" kind of thing. He also said it's used year round and all fenced in. Perhaps we should meet there sometime?

We'll have to think of other play places too. I know the Barking Lot (Irving Park and Western) has an indoor facility to use in the winter (3000 sq ft). They have it open Saturday afternoons, but I don't remember the cost.

Hope we can all get together again!

Love to meet again

We'd love to meet again too.

Riley and I went by ourselves to the Praire Wolf DFA in Lake Forest last evening, 2 rescued boxers were just leaving, 1 1/2 and 7. The younger was a white boxer. Very nice dogs.

Riley continuing to learn his way in interacting with other dogs, he got a couple of clear signals (nothing real aggressive) that he should tone it down a notch with his pouncing, which was good. Fewer dogs, which helped, but he did hop all over a Pekingnese who he was dying to dominate. Had to profusely apologize for him, but then again, what were those folks hoping for when they brought a dog that's about 6 inches high to the DFA.

We might take a ride up to Libertyville this weekend to check out the Indepence Grove DFA.

Kohgirl, went through the 8 or 12 clicks to finally turn on my PM, composed message to you, went to send and got message you had your's turned off. Typical results with computers on a Friday. You can email me at gtelvis@yahoo.com (hopefully the address slides through on here, I hardly use that email so don't care if it's out there) if you still have those pics. Thanks.

montrose beach empty evenings

Anyone interested in the Montrose Dog Beach...we went last night (7:30) with our neighbor and it was EMPTY! There was a total of 10 dogs (3 were with us!). So, I know it was packed Sunday morning at 9, but apparently in the evenings it dies down.

Just thought everyone might like to know! :)
