any good books

Depends upon what kinds of books you like to read.
Lisa Gardner, Katie MacAlister, Nora Roberts are good authors just to name a few. I just got done with Nora Roberts "Northern Lights" and it was good. I really find Katie MacAlister's "Aisling Grey" series pretty funny.

I just got done reading the Stephanie Plum Series (there are 11 books so far) by Janet Evanovich. They were great reads, quick, funny and SO addicting. I think I went through all 11 of them in about 6 days and then I went through major withdrawl. Anything by Barbara Kingsolver is usually really good, more deep and thought provoking.

Okay, I know these books are for teens, but I like The series of Unfortunate Events. I just like the style of the writer and the mystery. HAs anyone else read these books and what do you think about them?

I just read The Dogs of Babel and The Mysterious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime. Both were really good. I am reading The Davinci Code, The Dog Whisperer (Owens) and The Lovely Bones (2nd time) right now. Of course I loved all the Harry Potter books, and also Peace Like a River by Leif Enger. And Angels and Demons (before the Da Vinci Code)...

I am currently reading "Annie Freeman's Fabulous Traveling Funeral" by Kris Radish. It's like a chick flick in a book! Fun, and thought provoking.

I read all of time and love reading new authors so this thread is great. my fav's are Patricia Cornwell, Stuart Woods,Iris johansen John Sanford, Nora Roberts and the FBI novels from Catherine Coulter ( she also writes great romance novels for the times when you just want an easy read) I have a huge collection of hard backs, i go to borders and get the bargain specials, usually they are between $4-$6. I have to put my name in all my books becuase family and friends seem to think that I am the new library

Lisa Gardner is a suspense writer...I like her stuff.
My sister buys books constantly. I'm sure she can relate to the library thing...I admit I go to her house for books. :D What's family for. hahaha

Books

Well, I am currently finishing my Masters degree, so most of the books I have read recently were for school, and I would not recommend. I did take spring break to read "Black House" (I think) co-authored by Peter Straub and Steven King. Not too bad, though I wasn't terribly impressed with the ending.

I just bought "Deception Point" by Dan Brown. Having read "Angels and Deamons", "Di Vinci Code", and "Digital Fortress", I am a fan. If you like suspense I might recommend any Jeffery Deaver book.
