any breeders in CT or NY?

Hello everyone,
i am thinking of having a boxer dog. First time dog owner here so i need all the help i can get. I live in CT and NYC so I would prefer a breeder in these states if possible?
Any suggestions?
What should i look for in a breeder? how to i find a good breeder and not a BYB ? what tests health certificates should i look for in the parents?

Boxerworld doesn't allow the promotion of individual breeders, so I'm afraid you can't get a referral on this site. We can, of course, give you advice on HOW to find a good breeder, and what to look for

The best place to start looking for a decent breeder is your nearest boxer club. They should be able to point you in the direction of breeder members who may have litters coming up. They probably won't do any screening for people who do the health testing they should though, so you will still need to check that the proper health tests have been carried out by any breeders you get in touch with.
