1. Does anyone else's babies do a little lip-smack-jaw-thing before they fall asleep? When our two babies get comfy right before they fall asleep, they do this little chomp-chomp-chomp thing with their mouths and it's SOOO cute. I think it must be a trait because Jager (new puppy) did the same thing before he had the chance to see that Darlin (our 3 year old) does it.

2. Also - - another one. Do yours talk with their eyes? When ours want something (Treat, toy, etc), they'll look at us dead in the eye and then at what they want and then back at us and back down. They do it over and over until we silly humans understand and give them what they want.

3. Last one-promise. Clanging food/water bowls when they're empty.

Mine have all done traits #1, and#2. Variations of #3: Bailey angelicon and Lucy both like to tap their bowls with their paw, Blake angelicon would actually pick the bowl up when empty to make sure you got a good look at it, and well Fred, he licks his bowl--the entire bowl, inside and out.

Whether they are traits or not, they should be. I know that ABBY does all three, especially #3. She has her water and food bowls sitting a elevated rack that I built. When one or the other is empty, she'll remove it from the rack and start sliding, bouncing, or clanging it against the refridgerator or stove until she gets my attention to let me know she wants more.

Joey does all three especially #1 and #2.

when he does #1, I know thats is when he is really realxing and gonna go to sleep.

#2 he does this when the dish is empty and he wants more or if the water bowl is empty or if he thinks the water needs to be fresh (he is sp picky)

My Lily does #1 and #2 and so adorably too.

The water dish isn't an issue appearanty. My Buster taught the girls how to drink from the toilet! Dang nabbitts!

Lou does all three and if your busy at the moment #3 will continue until you stop what your doing and take care of it.

What's funny is that they will clang the bowl, then walk into the room you're in to make eye contact, stare at you, and then go back and do it again. Sometime's I'm laughing so hard that I purposefully take my time.

And the lip smacking thing is DEFINITELY RIGHT before they fall asleep. . . it just means "this is the life. Goodnight"

JacksonBoy

Jackson does all three as well. He does #1 right before he goes to sleep and whenever he wakes up from a nap. My DH and my response is always...what a rough life you have!!

And do yours smell "musty" when they sleep? Anytime Darlin or Jager shifts, we can tell b/c of the very-specific-smell. . . . and we love it. Kinda smells like her feet. We're weirdos. We know it. Whatever.

Weirdos welcome here at BW :D. Lucy's feet smell like stale fritos (the snack chips). I know it well because I usually get the feet side when she snuggles between DH and I at night.
