Boxer Insane
Last night we lost Roge's brother and litter mate Podge , he was my parents boxer ..
He took a seizure 10 days ago which was horrific to witness , the vet was with him within an hour and gave him meds And after about another hour he was back to himself but unfortunately it was short lived .
Pain set in and his glands swelled and he was in pain , more meds and the next day he seemed ok but again short lived . He had a bad night Wednesday night and they rang the vet to request he be euthanised but in the time it took the vet to call he bounced back again so they cancelled..
He was sleepy yesterday while I was there but still able to give me kisses ( best dog to give kisses EVER )
but late afternoon he went down hill quickly he was staggering and was in pain so the dreaded call to the vet had to be made .. It was very quick and very peaceful in all about 4 mins ..
Podge my friend I have no words to describe how much I will miss you I loved having you come to stay and always hated having to give you back , you were such a happy loving gentle boy . I used to say that I think you could break the world record in how many kisses you could give in 30 seconds !!!!!!!
Run free sweet boy and keep watch over my parents because they are devastated at your passing as am I and say Hi to Spike and give him a kiss from me he is only at the bridge a short while himself but I know for sure he will look after you and maybe boss you about a little like he did when you were both with us ..
