Another new boxer mom

Hi everyone,
My family and I have just welcomed our newest member to the family on Dec. 27/04. She is a 10 week old brindle baby and her name is Maya. I have been busily gleaning information from the BW forums over the last several days as we have never owned a Boxer. Just wanted to say thanks for all the great information!

Thanks! I didn't include much information about Maya as I was a little embarrased that we didn't do any research into the breed or the "breeder" before we got her. She is from a BYB... Her brother stole our heart at Christmas when he was given to my sister's kids. We just melted and knew that there was only one more baby left in his litter. So, within 3 days, we picked her up - we got her completely out of love not pedigree...It was only after coming across Boxerworld that I became so much more informed. I must say that I was a little frightened after finding out about the many ailments that can affect the Boxer breed. I just couldn't imagine our Maya suffering. She has stolen all of our hearts right from the beginning!

Welcome to BW from a fellow Canadian and congrats on Maya. I'm sure we have all been down the BYB road, but fortunately we all know better now . I can't wait to see pics of your girl. Once you've experienced a boxers love...there is just NO turning back!! Good luck
