Hi Nik
How was your first night home??? My advice is take lots and lots of photos while Diesel is so small, they grow up soooo quick!! Congrats on your new baby and welcome to boxerworld.

Welcome Nik,
I am just dying here.....those pictures are just ADORABLE! My daughter and I have been "gushing" over them. Those little 'mush faces' are just the sweetest and what a pretty 'mama' boxer.
Nice to meet you and hope to see more of your great pics :)

Hey, yeah the first night was fun I only had to get up 4 times.
My mum got hold of the camera and followed Diesel around all day so now I have about 100 photos of him (most of them blurry). I'll get some more up soon.

I've had 2 Dalmaitians and a Doberman before and I cant believe what a smart, well mannered pup he is.
Not 1 accident in the house yet (knock on wood).

He keeps on trying to howl which is highly amusing because he hasnt quite figured out how to yet.

At the moment he is not huge on eating, not sure if this is normal.
I am taking him to the Vet tomorrow to get a quick check and to ask them what the facts on Docking is.(Apperently in Western Australia it's not exactly legal or illegal)

Thanks for all the replies

Oh my God what a cutie!!! That brings back ssoo many memories. Dakoda used to LOVE her washing basket,it was exactly the same!
How'd you go at the vet?? Docking is illegal in Victoria but I couldnt imagine Ducky without hers she loves it and has hours of fun chasing it and chasing it. But they are strong and lethal when your standing next to them and they are wagging full pelt.
Fingers crossed he has no accidents in the house Ducky was fantastic too when it came to toilet training.
Also let your mum keep hold of the camera, you wont regret it!!

Completely Boxer Crazy
I think it's too late to dock. Anyway, the tail is great. And interestingly as they get older, they get more in control of it (like the rest of the body i guess). Garvin is now nearly 4 , all grown up, he rarely knocks anything with his tail anymore. No longer does he clear a coffee table with a single swipe. He still uses it as a toy tho, chases it, waves it in front of the cat to get it to swipe(!!), uses it for sign language. He loves his tail. So do we. It just means puppy proofing goes on a little longer. No glassware/coffee mugs down low. Good habits to get into anyway, at least you'll never find a boxer with his tongue in your drink!

Sasha’s favorite toy is her tail, it’s the only one she doesn’t get sick of playing with…and it’s a laugh and half and there is nothing like getting a whack in the face in the middle of the night when she jumps up on the bed and decides it’s playtime.

My B/F and I loved the docked look, but the tail does grow on you after awhile (1 or 2 hours in our case)
