What did everyone think of AI last night? I thought Rueben was really great! :D And even though Kim was pretty good last night I think she'll be the one to go tonight.

I think all of them did great, but unfortunatly I think Kim is gone to, I told my BF that if Clay did not blow them away with his last song then he would probally go, but of coarse he just blew everyone away, to bad though...they are all great !!!
Tonite is the nite...BTW there is an extra show on Monday nite if anyone is interested !!!!

I really think this is a tough choice. Everyone really shined last night. I imagine Kimberly is going to go because when I called last night I was only able to get through her line. I am here in Raleigh/Durham and Clay visited here last week. He was really cool and did a lot of promotion. He impressed me. I just do not feel he will have a long recording career he is better for the stage. We shall see tonight :D

Reuben Studdard?
i know.....many of you are rooting for reuben.
at the beginning he had me fooled, i thought he could sing :o . as the show progressed, i realized, reuben doesn't have the talent necessary to become the next AI. also, i didn't like his performance last night . he was off-key during at least 2 of his performances.
i wonder why scarlett tongued simon wasn't honest in his opinions----ratings maybe? of course, miss politically correct paula would never be truthful----might hurt someone's feelings :D

i love clay amer-aiken! :p even though many say he has a "broadway" voice, i hope he's the overall AI winner! :D

I really liked Kim last night. I think Clay should be the one to go- don't get upset, it's just what I think. It drives me nuts the way he looks and acts. His voice is great, don't get me wrong, but in the very visual world of today- I don't think he embodies all that an "American Idol" should be. But come to think of it- none of them really do....

Based on last night's performances, I think Kim is the most deserving of the AI title. She was flawless for all three songs! What the heck was that poopy 'Vincent' song they made poor Clay sing? It was kinda stinky! He did redeem himself on the second song, but I thought the third was a bit weak (and fast! I've never heard Unchained Melody performed so fast in my life. Its supposed to be a slow song for heaven's sakes!). Ruben did well, but I've seen him do better. As for the person who should go tonight, imo its a tie between Ruben and Clay. If I were to make a prediction, I'd say Clay. That 'Vincent' song could be enough to end it for him!

I have to say, I hope Clay's outta here tonight! I can't stand watching him, and I didn't care one iota for his version of Unchained Melody. Not to mention that other song was horrible! I'm a Kimberly fan ~ I am a little worried though, I didn't have much problems getting through on her line.

Ok, we can't blame poor Clay for that dumb Vincent song. It was a random pick, and he got screwed. And, as Randy said, that arrangement of Unchained Melody was terrible, but is that Clay's fault? I'm not sure if he picked the arrangement or not, but he did do a nice job with it, and even nailed the high notes. But I do agree that he is tough to *watch* even though I love his voice.
Unfortunately for Kimberly, the AI title will NOT be based on last night's performances. Lets face it - people have their favorites, and they aren't created in a night or two of great performances. I think way more people have liked Clay and Ruben from the beginning, but not Kimberly. I don't think she'll be able to catch up, and I'm betting she's going home tonight.
Also unfortunately for Kim, the AI title is not awarded on singing talent alone. And even though none of these 3 quite have the perfect look, Clay and Ruben have way more personality than Kimberly does. She's just not interesting or quirky or cute or goofy or anything! Aside from her voice, she's really kinda boring.
