I think Vets do tend to drastically overcharge, but then again so do doctors. Magoo has two vets he sees the military vet ($5 for an office visit) and the other vet ($40 for an office visit). That's a big difference. Only problem is the military vet isn't on call all the time so if he's really sick he has to go see the other vet. But it made me realize how much the other vet overcharges.
I went with the three year boosters this time, rabies is required by law so that one is not optional.

I can't believe they said it was up to the vet and not you!!! I would have been really upset if they tried telling me that. I certainly wouldn't take any of my pets back to that guy.
My dogs only get the Rabies vacc, and that's only because it's required by state law.
