I don't let them sleep on my furniture anymore, I just got all new stuff last year. I also don't want them to think they are people.

Minority Here also! My furbabies have the run of the couches and believe me we all snuggle up in the evenings, lovicon but they sleep in their crates at night and Roxy snores SO LOUD we can hear her all the way upstairs! So I know she is sleepin soundly  The only time a dog (or two) is allowed in our bed is if one of us is sick and sleeping during the day.....there is nothing like a warm furbaby to make you feel better quick!cool2icon

Your not insane....

This is normal boxer owner behaviour as far as I know!
We have two 65 Lb boxers that sleep with us all the time. They do have there own huge bed in our room that they start out on, (while they are waiting for us to get in our bed) but then it's up with us and I wouldn't have it any other way. Our two year old, Kennocha, likes to sleep on top of me. I woke up one night unable to move, took me a minute to wake up fully and realize that she was completely on top of me, not one part of her was touching the bed. "OK, NOW your getting carried away!" I told her! My husband has moments where he likes to pretend that they aren't allowed on the bed and tells them to get off now and then, so, they sleep on my side of the bed! I don't think that I know how to sleep without two boxers holding me down, snoring and scratching and farting through the night. Hey, maybe I'm insane too.....
NAH!

I always say, "There are dogs, and then there are boxers!"
And only another boxer owner gets that.

Just a quick note

The other night I dreamt theat I got run over by a car and that I was laying on the ground without being able to move my legs, I was soo scared that when I woke up I realized that I still couldn't move my legs. Then I looked down and realized that Duke had his 60+ lbs across my legs and that I really couldn't move. Just found that sooo funny afterwards.

i'm in the minority. I don't let any animals in the bedroom. I just can't sleep if they're there. Our boxer is still crated at night and doesn't seem to mind at all. Our mutt has free run of the rest of the house but all he does is sleep on the couch.

Justice also sleeps in her crate at night, it's in the laundry room and the dryer has helped her fall asleep since she was a puppy. Our cocker has free reign and sleeps with my 5 year old, but then she doesn't chew everything in sight :)

I guess I am in the Minority also. My female was horrible in the crate the first 2 nights. By the second night I came out to the living room and slept on the couch with her. The next day I went and bought a big comfy pillow for her to sleep on in the corner of my bedroom next to my side of the bed. She curled right up on it and has never given us a problem since. Our male sleeps on a big pillow in my 15yr old son's room. They both have great routines at night they know at 10pm its potty time and then my male looks at my son like okay come on I want to go to sleep. My female stays up snuggling with me until 11 and then follows me to bed. We were able to crate train for times we were out of the house with no problem. I guess she was just afraid of the dark those first couple nights. I did have a husky many 20 years ago that I had to sleep with my arm hanging off the bed so she could touch it for a couple weeks. But after that she was fine also.
