Boxer Pal
Hello from Sunny Florida!!!
I brought our new boxer baby home yesterday morning and our first day together was fabulous! He's such a good boy! He is going outside to do his "bizniz" and is just as sweet as they come!!! Well night time comes and I am wondering if I will get any sleep at all. I know how puppies are!! The breeder gave me a security blanket for him (has his mom, grandma and sibs scent on it) and I set him up in the bathroom with a big blanket, his security blanket and all the amentities. Now this was only going to be for the night cuz on Sunday I am picking up his crate. Anyway... less than 2 minutes in the bathroom and hes just a'howlin' away!! My heart was breaking and my kids were going to get awakened! Out he came. So I set his blankets up next to my bed and put a baby gate on my bedroom door, he settled in and the lights when out. Five mintes later hes clawing at me from below. To make and already long story short, I ended up bringing him in the bed with me where he stayed ALL NIGHT!!!! Snuggled right up close to my neck! I moved and he moved.... it was so sweet! And beside a little bit of snoring and the 2 episodes of puppy dreams, we had a very good night!!!! We got to sleep in until almost 6 am before my cat woke us up! LOL! So after this long winded story I ask you... did I do the wrong thing by bringing the baby to bed with me?? Am I doomed to have a 60lb dog sleeping in the crook of my neck every night now? To be honest, I dont really mind but Im sure my husband will have something to say about it! LOL!
