Howdy!

There is nothing wrong with sharing your bed with your fur babies! We do it. We have a double bed and all three of our fur babies share it with us. Daisy has her bed next to ours and when she is ready or we are ready to hit the hay for the night, she goes down on to her (already fluffed by Dad) comfy bed! Our male Toy Poodle, Pooh Bear, also has his own corner with umteen amount of pillows and he goes to it no problem. Our female Toy Poodle, Puddles, sleeps with us always. She was our first fur baby and that is where her bed is, between our butts! lol

Boxers are real cuddle monsters. They love affection. You can train yours to sleep in her bed for the night and she can have the luxury of cuddling until lights out with you on your bed! The best of both worlds. Good luck!

Cheers!

We share the bed w/ both of our boys. I know there is going to come a day when the bed will be very cramped! We have a queen bed and I am 6'1 and DH is 6'4. I love that they sleep w/ us and I wouldn't have it any other way. I'll be out buying a king size bed before I kick them out. ;)

i'm in the minority. I don't let any animals in the bedroom. I just can't sleep if they're there. Our boxer is still crated at night and doesn't seem to mind at all. Our mutt has free run of the rest of the house but all he does is sleep on the couch.

I must be in the minority also. Shakira will cuddle and sleep with me on the loveseat or couch but when it comes to the bed, forget it, she is all over my DH and myself and will not let us sleep, maybe we will try it again another time but for now she is content to sleep in her crate.

Our boxers have always slept with us since the day we brought them home. And we both wouldn't have it any other way! When we first got Logan, since both of us worked, I couldn't let her be in a crate for most of the day and then at night too...now she roams the house and but still loves to fall asleep snuggling at my or my hubbies feet. She has a routine - she will fall asleep at our feet on top of the covers, then in the middle of the night she might crawl under the covers for about an hour, and then she gets up and goes and sleeps in her own bed (which is right next to ours). Before our Memphis passed away, he was the biggest snuggler at night. He would give hugs and kisses and then he wanted to not only be close, but wanted to lay ON you. I can't imagine not having a boxer to snuggle with at night!

Yep! I am afraid you are insane! But welcome to the club. Just wait one night the baby will not sleep in the bed and you will think ohhhh good a night of peace. You will be up all night long because he is not there. That is what I do. Aaron has decided it is time for the dogs to start sleeping in their crates again. They actually like it. I hate it! That bed is entirely to roomy without them. So when Daddy is out of town its all boys in the bed!! :)

also in the minority

Rocky does not sleep with us, he doesn't even sleep in the bedroom with us. He has his own bed in the living room and is happy to sleep there, and only comes into the bedroom on the weekends when he wants to go out and my Dh and I are still sleeping. He is 6 months old and loves his bed-with has two pillows in it and a blanket - and he loves to snuggle in it. but now he is also into taking naps on the couch!

When we got our first boxer DH said absolutely never, ever was there to be a dog in the bed.

Thats the way it was supposed to be at our house, but after a sleepless couple of nights we let Duke sleep on the bed with us. At 30 lbs it was ok, now at 55 lbs it's a little harder but we love it. My sis slept over last night and Duke abandoned us to sleep with her! We missed him so much that I got up at 3:00am and physically carried him back to our bed :0

Sleeping next to that warm little body is awesome!
