Wow....that's not a pretty sight.

Could it be something other than a food allergy? I'm asking only because there seems to be so much impetus for owners to immediately think food allergy....could it be a contact allergy? Or airborn?

Bob.

Shes eaten nothing since coming home from the vets 2 hrs ago and the lumps are coming back up again so it could be a contact allergy like you say!

OMG, poor baby.
Lola came up like this in the summer but she had an even bigger lump on her hind leg too as well as the hives so we figured she'd been stung and gave her Benadryl (sp) as recommended on here. Keep us posted on what the vets say, I feel for the poor dog and the owners, it's horrible when somethings wrong.

This is awful! We went through the same thing with Drake a few months back. We determined he was allergic to popcorn and now poor baby, never gets anything off the table. But we saw an immediate improvement as each day went by. Good luck!

Poor girl! It's possible that she was bitten by something like a spider. Benadryl can often help in those situations.

I hope she is feeling better soon!

Poor thing. She looks miserable :( That's what Macon's whole body looked like when she was bit by a spider (so we think). It was awful.

I hope she's feeling better soon :)

Our Milo has had reactions like this in the past. At first we thought it was food too. After several food changes, including BARF, it got no better, we finally had him allergy tested.

Turns out he is severly allergic to all green plants. He now gets allergy shots every three weeks. We're in the works of making a concrete dog run so he can be outside and not touch the grass. Poor guy. If ever there was a city dog it's Milo.
