We broke ties with our training club when there were accusations of them mistreating my dogs while they were in daycare.

That is horrible! I'm so sorry to hear it. I don't recall reading your posts on that subject, but I'm going to go back and look now.

I do remember that you were pregnant and I can't say I blame you for not wanting to run around an agility course! Good luck with the delivery!

Around 1 is a good age to start, although Apollo started at around 10 months with low equipment.

In San Jose you have the best agility instructors in the country! They're really hard to get into though.

I know my boxer would love to do this but I was wondering if he needed to be papered or show type material to compete? He is a great dog really smart but I just got him from a guy who bred his male and female boxers.

Oh, no. Any dog can compete in agility. Even mutts!

They have to have papers to compete in AKC, but there's other venues too. USDAA, NADAC, CPE, UKC...

And if you boxer isn't registered, you can send some pictures to AKC and get an ILP, which will allow you to compete in performance events, but not conformation.
