I totally understand what you are going through, I went through the same thing in January this year with one of my foster boys. I am so sorry for you and your family. Please know you did the best for this girl and she knows this. And my boy Jack is there with Abby along with all the other boxers who have gone to the bridge running and playing until we get there.

I just wanted to tell you that my neighbor across the street is a lawyer, but unable to practice in our state privately. However, he spoke with his attorney friend yesterday and here's what he found:

It will cost us approximately $5000.00 to sue "the pet store". We won't be going that route. However, he suggested that I document and send a letter to The Attorney General and copy to The BBB. He offered that I make sure to include the word "puppy mill" in my letter so that it will grab his attention. Luckily for Abby and all these other poor babies the Attorney General is on a personal mission to stop puppy mills.

Also, the lady that observed Abby last Saturday has already composed a letter for me. She wrote me back last night and said "she was all over it" with helping me get some justice for Abby. Dr. Artz (the vet) is also working on a letter for me as well.

It's sure quiet around here with her gone. Within our walls she was just a great little girl. I have been so wound tight these past few weeks since her behavior surfaced that I pretty much slept most of the day. In a way, I'm relieved. Emily appears much more relaxed and Sugar Pie is coming around more.

Thanks again! I truly appreciate all of the suggestions, thoughts and prayers that I have received from you during these difficult times.

After having gone through the exact same ordeal, I feel your sorrow and pain. Junior, at 9 months, was put to sleep last week for the same reason.

I know you did the right thing, and while that doesn't ease the pain of losing your loved one... Just know that Abby and Junior are probably burning together over the rainbow on their way to doggy heaven. I am very sorry for your loss and pray that time heals your wounds as quickly as possible. Godspeed Abby.

I am so sorry for your loss. I have not been on the board much and was very saddened to hear that Miss Abby is gone. I truly feel you did all you could. Be strong, Miss Abby is at peace now.
