A quote true to the Breed and it's owners

As I was walking out of the video store the other day, walking towards my car with my Boxer in it, a quote from a dog breed book came to mind;

"Anyone who has ever seen a Boxer sitting bolt upright on the driver's seat of a car waiting alertly and quizzically for it's owner's return will understand why Boxer people are so commited to the breed."

A big smile came to my face because, as usual, Wilson had moved from the back seat to my drivers seat and was sitting "bolt upright", alert and waiting for me - a perfect example of that quote.

That picture never gets old. I laugh out loud whenever I see Nestle sitting upright in the driver seat. It is the little things they do that cause us to fall head over heals in love with them!!!

I had to make a quick trip into Lowes the other day and left Brutus alone in the truck for the first time. I was so nervous that he would destroy something, but when I got back he was sitting upright in his seat waiting for mommy. I fall in love with him a little more each day. He's turning out to be such a good boy.

OMG! That is soo true! Layla always waits for us sat so straight up and either in the drivers seat or in the passengers seat. Looks so cute! She is soo good in the car! If we are stopped at a light she will always stare down the person stopped next to us. Her gaze doesn't move until the car does.

That is so true. Last time I was trying to coax Capone out of the driver's seat the person parked across from me looked at me like I was nuts. I couldn't figure it out until I realized I was just some girl in the parking lot asking my dog if he was going to drive home or move over and let me drive.

Payton still likes to think he can be on my lap- it's too funny to see his butt slide across the center console, with his back to me, all the while thinking that I won't notice what he's doing!

Ditto here! Oskar has mastered the bolt upright sit stare! When ever hubby and I go somewhere in the truck I do the walking and he does the driving. When I get out not two seconds later Oskar is in my seat. Oskar has also mastered the bolt upright stare for TREATS! he knows I'm a sucker for a beautiful chisled sit! How can I not be?!?!?!

Charlie Paper too has perfected the bolt upright in the driver's seat position. He never seems to want to move when I get back in the car. I keep telling him he's too young to drive, but he doesn't seem to think so. These really are the coolest dogs ever!

Like gtntuf I left Scout in the car for the first time the other day. Sure she has taken several rides with us but this was the first time she was left alone in the car. I too was nervous and wondered if I would still have seats. She did great. She sits in the back though. We always put her in the back of the surburban and she immediately takes her seat in the third row passenger side. That is her window! She was sitting pretty as you please waiting for us and looking at me like "where did YOU go?" And so far the only time she has barked at anyone in the car was some motorcycles behind us that she stared down. I could see one guy saying "Hey, look at that dog." Aren't they great!

I wish I could take my babies out with me. but here in so florida it is to hot for them.:(
