Jack and Avery do the same thing. (Since you can't take one without the other!) Whenever I return to the car Jack is always in the driver's seat and Avery is in the passenger's seat. They look like a very happy couple!

Whenever I put Belle in the car, by the time I've walked around to the driver's side to climb in - she's in my spot! I always ask her, "Is it OK if Mommy drives?" and she'll jump over to the passenger seat! It's still SO amazing how alike all these dogs are! Too funny!

Absolutely true!! My friend and I took the boys to the park last week and I had to run to her door to let her know I was there. When we got to the car, Beau was in my seat. She asked, "What is he doing?" I told her he was going to drive us!!! It's a picture I'll never forget!

I have never left my boxer in the car by himself (he's still a pup), but my Scottie does this as well.She also puts her feet on the door when your trying to open it to get in. I literally have to get in on the passenger side and move over to the drivers side. This is not so easy in an SUV!

Yep, every time I leave him in the car, he's sitting in my seat with his back rested, and his head rested. He fits so perfectly, and sits up as high as a human. My sister cracks up every time she sees him in there because it looks like it's his car. It actually is his car, he just doesn't pay for it!

Like Stephj, I've gotten a lot of strange looks when I'm talking to Roxy trying to get her to move over. Some people just don't understand. But I've always wondered why it is that they jump in the driver's seat. Is it a thing that they are trying to get where we are or what? It is adorable though, they always look so serious.

That is so true. Last time I was trying to coax Capone out of the driver's seat the person parked across from me looked at me like I was nuts. I couldn't figure it out until I realized I was just some girl in the parking lot asking my dog if he was going to drive home or move over and let me drive.

That is so funny, that sounds so much like Coco & I. I'm so glad you shared that because I can relate and enjoy it so much. I can just see the looks you were getting as I have gotten those myself.

Charlie Paper too has perfected the bolt upright in the driver's seat position. He never seems to want to move when I get back in the car. I keep telling him he's too young to drive, but he doesn't seem to think so. These really are the coolest dogs ever!

Paper-Dogg13 - I have the same problem. I think Roxie would rather me sit down on top of her and drive then have to slide over to her seat. Crazy pups.

Whenever I leave Dixie in the truck by herself in my truck regular cab she runs back and forth looking out the window for me. When she sees me walking to the truck she always goes to my seat to greet me. Of course then I have to move her so I can sit down. Shes 12 weeks old and just a crack up

Sasha sits in the drivers seat and waits patiently like a hawk watching everything. She also knows how to honk the horn if we are taking too long! Sad, but true! She knows if she honks it, we will either come outside or come to the window to see what is going on! She is such a stinker!
Telmar on the other hand just jumps from seat to seat and back and forth!
