My Sweet Quincy,
One year ago today, you slipped away from this world so quickly, so unexpectedly, that I did not have time to tell you how much I loved you. As I held you in my arms that morning outside the vet's office, and I knew that you were leaving me, all I could think to say to you was "it's okay Quincy, it's okay", even though I knew it was not. I wish I had known sooner that I had so little time left with you.
If I had known you were leaving my life so soon, I would have spoiled you so much more than I already did. One of the hardest parts is remembering how I scolded you the night before when you jumped up on me when I came home from work. If I knew then what I know now, instead of scolding you, I would have wrapped you in my arms and said thank you for loving me so much in your own special and excited way.
But who would have guessed that you would leave for the bridge when you were only 3 years old. You are my beautiful white angel now. I will remember you forever. You were my boy, my crazy, silly, and lovable white baby boy. There is not a day that goes by, even one year later, that I have not thought of you. There is not a week that goes by that I do not shed a tear for you.
I only hope that I brought as much happiness and joy to your life that you brought to mine. And mostly, where ever you are right now, that you are happy .
I know we will meet again some day, and when we do, that you will run and jump up on me like you used to do. Only this time, I WILL wrap my arms around and thank you for loving me so much. And I will also say to you "it's okay Quincy, it's okay", and it really will be.
Mom still misses you so very much Quincy. You will never ever know how much I loved you.
Take care my sweet angel.
