A Call to Boxer Lovers in MD DC VA areas

It doesn't need to rain for us to plan another one. Even though I've never been to a boxer bash I know it's got to be great! Why not start planning the next one now? The more the better. :D Maybe for the next one we can go to one of the VA parks or something closer to the VA people. I live in Montgomery County so I'm basically in the middle of everyone anyways. Let me know what you guys think about planning another one now.

For those of you who haven't been to Quiet Waters, I mentioned the fee to get in, but also:
The fenced in park for the dogs is quite a walk from where they are allowed to swim. It's really not that far, but I suggest we all meet at the fenced in park first and hang out and then whoever wants to swim we can walk down together. I'll show ya the way!!
Now a warning: The dog beach is not fenced in so they 'could' run away if you have one who won't come back.
Most dogs are ok as there is a jedi on each side and it sort of 'looks' blocked off, but isn't really. Just so ya know!
You can keep them on the leash if you want, but then you'll have to get wet, too!!!! :D

Well I am praying for sunshine but I think the temp. is supposed to be nice anyway.. Now I have a warning....Layla will try to kiss all the people first.... She is so spaztic. I still havent gotten her to sit nicely she still tries to jump on people. So watch out for the spaz jumper.... After she settles down she stops but watch out if your the first one she sees... The touge will be going....
I think I am more excited than Layla she knows go to the dog park. But I know all the boxers that are going and this will be her first time to play with another boxer without being on lead... yippie....She doesnt swim she just runs to each dog as they come out... She gets all close but then runs back.... Maybe one day she wont be a little chicken and jump in.....

Cash is normally a little spaz also. He's not that bad with humans though when other dogs are around, he'll run around with all the dogs first then when he's tired he'll go and meet everyone I can't wait!!!!!4 days!!!!

She is ten times worse if she sees a kid.. she knows that she cant get yelled at for jumping but they are within kissing range.... She loves kids.... Oh I know I wont get any sleep Friday....

You guys are silly!:p I am excited too, and nervous. I prolly shouldn't have read all the posts about how awful dog parks can get! Niko will not wear a bandana, or anything else around his neck, but he has a bright blue collar and leash! That's a bit of blue! Ladies-since it's near the beach I am thinking about wearing my bathing suit top under a tank top, what about you? I am hoping for bright Sunshine, it needs to, it's been so yucky out! I can't wait!!:D

I was nervous about the dog parks too but everyone there pretty much loves dogs. If not why are they there?? I still get a little worried when there are little dogs b/c Layla hops around and gets all crazy so she might stop on them. So I put her leash on her when little dogs come by... last weekend she was near this little cocker spaniel and she tried to play well it snapped at her the owner had the nerve to say did your dog bite mine... No that would be impossible see her nubb still wagging..She put her foot on the little spaniel and it snapped at her.. So this will be a little better as there are separate areas for little dogs. Also with all the boxer people coming if something does happen it wont be for long.. We will break it up... I still get a little upset when she runs up to someone and puts her big muddy paw on them... I go appologize. My boyfriend said quit feeling bad yuo are at a dog park!!!!!!!

I really don't think there will be many other dogs there. I can defiently see lots of people not wanting to be there with over 20 wild and crazy boxers. LOL. I may be wrong though. What has happened at other bashes?
