A Call to Boxer Lovers in MD DC VA areas

Sorry we won't be seeing you this time....

We are already up and getting our park beach stuff together. Guess what? My husband actually volunteered to go to the dog beach with us this time....Go Figure.. I had to beg him to come to the first bash in Alexandria. Even so he stayed outside the fenced in area. But after seeing Blade's pictures I took at the beach and hearing about his boy's first swimming experience he couldn't help himself.

I can't even type this morning without Blade pushing up my hands from the key board saying "COME ON MOM Lets go to the beach!!!!

Beautiful Day at the dog beach!!!!

Glad we saw Bailey and SubeRu! Blade was a very good birthday boy and played well with others today at Quiet Waters Dog Beach. We arrived alittle after 9 am and already there were about 5 Labs romping in the beach water and sand. We were a little cautious about one dog who was aggressive but we escaped without any fights or injuries!!!!

Blade did growl at the bully 2 times when got too close to his mommy, daddy and his squeezy football toy.

How did you guys make out SubeRU???

If anyone else knows of some great dog beaches let me know....Blade really loves the water!

Well Subi, Bailey and Tiger had a GREAT time. Subi was a little scared of the water, she found a game she liked, she would go right up to the water but when a wave came she went running to the beach, little chicken dog. Bailey... she LOVES the water, she did fantastic!!! she likes to hop around.
Diane has Tiger (our old foster) and it was great to see the 2 of them interact, we couldnt have found a better home. Tiger has a rock fetish, diane would throw a rock and he would go in after it, ears and all. it was the cutest thing.
We didnt have to many problems, but i will say that Tiger is VERY protective of his foster sisters, a 120 pound rott decided that Subi looked good and tried to mount her, i kept trying to get him off, and Subi was pissed off and HURTING because of her hips. Tiger heard Subi growling and me telling the owner to get their dog, perked his head up and started GROWLING at this rott. luckily the owner came over and apologized, I was one PISSED off mommy!!!
we stayed at the beach for a little while and then we went to the actual dog park, we meet lacy (albie) there what a sweetie pie and brinkley and El (dont remember the parents name) i dont think they have a sign in name yet but they have been checking on BW and thats how they found out about the bash. Brinkley became Tigers girlfriend, it was very cute. there were 2 other boxers there but they kept to themselves (snobby) .
All in all it was a great time for all. Pat brought the digital camera but we were so occupied with the dogs we forgot to take pics.
Sorry we didnt see a lot of you guys, you were missed!!! we definitly need to do a bash were more people can come, maybe if MD is too far we will have to do back in VA.
I am game for whatever!!!

Zsara- sorry we didnt get to chat to long, i am sure subi and bailey would have loved to play with blade, give blade hugs from subi and bailey!

aLL MY HUSBAND COULD TALK ABOUT WAS...

What a handsome boy Tiger is!!!b He said he looks like he can really handle himself....(if there were bullies still at the beach. Carlos siad that that's the kind of dog he would want to have if he was single etc.

I think it was a macho thing... But tiger is a handsome guy in a brut kinda way. Blade has the capabilities to be a brut but we are trying to keep him people and animal friendly except in cases were family maybe in danger.
So when he first took to the water yesterday his hair was raised whenever a LAB APPOARCHED TO STEAL HIS FOOTBALL. I had to remind him to play well with others... and he did!

I agree, I think it maybe harder for everyone to get together in the summer because of all the vacations and other things to do. Unlike our winter/spring-ish boxerbash I. That being said Blade loves the water and we will be returning to Quiet Waters very soon.

Keep this on the down low...When you get word of young boxers in need of foster homes etc. Let me know. I am going to work on my husband to see if I can have another dog sometime in the near future. Thanks...

Zsara- i will defintly think about you for possible foster homes for young dogs
Tiger is a beautiful MANS dog, no doubt about it, all men love tiger. i miss how protected i used to feel with him in the house, i didnt worry about anything, i would go for walks at 11:00 at night and not have a care in the world. i dont push my luck so much anymore. i do miss him, for all his brutness he was such a cuddle bug, he wanted nothing more then to lie in your lap.
pat and i often wish we could have kept him but having 3 dogs, and 2 ferrets in a 1300 square foot home was a little too much for us.
let me know next time you go to quiet waters, subi and bailey will meet you up there

Heather... my kids took a lot of pictures so once we get them developed I'll post them. Subi and Bailey were very sweet. Sorry we didn't see many of you, but we had a great time. Lacy loved the beach, but cut her foot on something in the water. It seemed kind of rocky, so I'm thinking she cut her foot on a rock. My kids were full of boxer stories when we got home. They were really laying it on their dad... they want another Boxer!

I think it is getting close to that time again were we need to have another boxer bash. Maybe VA where we met last time is the best. We had a better turnout and i think it is more convient for other people.
