A Call to Boxer Lovers in MD DC VA areas

Boxer Bash in VA

I am very very new to this forum, but I met a lady in Petsmart today that stop to meet 2 of the 3 boxers I have and was telling me about a boxer bash you all are trying to rally together. I think it would be great. I live in the Hagerstown, MD area which is about 80 miles from Alexandria, VA, but for my dogs to have a good time and me to meet other boxer lovers I am all for it.:D

Could someone let me know if I am already to late for it or when it is and where? I have never been to a doggie park before. Please give me details.

I checked out the Alexandria VA Dog Park!!!

The park itself is about the size of a small baseball field enclosed by a fence. This was the first dog park I have ever visited. There were 3 dogs romping around when Blade and I made our entrance. Being his first dogpark adventure, he too was a little nervous seeing a large German Sheperd, a A Dalmation, and a little Scottie mixed running around off their leash. But after giving Blade words of encouragement (and taking him off my lap) he was soon running around and leaping in the air with joy! The only thing I failed to mention was I drove to the dog park in the rain and we both were full of mud when we decided to leave and return home.:p

For those who plan to attend the March 24th BOXERBASH at 1:00 PM remember it is located on Duke Street which is also 236 west. You will have to park at the Library and walk a short distance to the fenced in dog park. The address of the library is 5005 Duke Street Alexandria VA.

Hope to see you there! One more thing.....The park is so small that we shouldn't have to wear any identifying attire to recognize each other....having a boxer in tow will be more than enough! appicon appicon appicon

Yes Zsara, thank you. We are looking forward to meeting everyone and their boxers. My husband and 10 year old daughter are coming along. Anyone else bringing spouse or children?

Scarlet said she cant wait to see that handsome Baxter again.

My husband will be coming with me and maybe our 15 yr. old son. I got curious as to how many dogs would be there and their ages so I looked at everyone's profile and attempted to compile the info. I apologize if I got anything wrong. Looks like the youngest will be Bella and Maggie Mae at 5 months. And the oldest, Baxter at 8 yrs. 19 boxers accounted for so far. Of course, everyone may not be bringing all their "kids". Here's the rundown:

Great breakdown Boxymom!

I also want to give everyone the "heads" up on Scarlet. She is a beautiful girl but she was born with a scar on her head (thats how we came to name her Scarlet). Anyway, as she has grown the scar has gotten large and puffy. It is not pretty but we love her just the same. I wanted to let everyone know "ahead" of time so we wouldnt have to explain 15 times that we did not hit her on the head with a baseball bat.

Ahhh but Scarlet is no less perfect to us...infact, Baxter finds her quite attractive and loves her company Lets just hope he keeps his composure around her at the bash
