Hello

Thanks everybody for the warm welcome. Laural, thanks for the compliment on my furbabies. Zeus (9 week old brindle) is doing really good and man is he growing. If I am able to make it I will only be bring Sampson, my 2 year old, since Zeus is still to young. I really hope to make it up there. I would love to meet people who share the love of Boxers like I do. Hope to see you all.

Hi, I do intend to bring all 3 of my boys, one husband and at least one of my daughters - she's 14, the other (her twin) hasn't decided yet and my son is way to cool for this....... and hopefully will have a job that he can go to!!

Karen, can't wait to see Sampson again, maybe we'll get to see Zeus later on in Petsmart again. We got Shay the same halter you have for Sampson, found it right away, and I believe same color even (black?) - you're right, it works. I think I'm going to be signing Shay up for classes with Julie, was impressed with her class I watched and like the fact that she has a boxer and knows the breed intimately and he is being such a brat since puberty set in

I am bringing 2 possibly 3
Subi and Bailey are definitly coming but I am going to be fostering a little girl come Sunday- I will probably be bringing her with us
Plus Janet from the rescue is going to come and help me with the puppies.
Husband is staying with Janets husband to help him with the rescue dogs.
Cant wait till the 24th!!!!

I hope I did spell your name right???:confused: Anyway, how is the halter working? If I didn't have one on Sam he would really take me for a walk, he is very powerful and strong. He gained 4 pounds in 3 weeks and the vet told me to keep an eye on that, which I do, but I think he looks good. He is pushing the scales at 70 pounds but I think he is still sexy. He is very short though, only 23'. But he knows he is special, I guess that is my fault for spoiling my babies. I really hope to see you at the Bash and meet your babies also. :cool:

hey Karen, halter is working good, haven't had a chance to take Shay for long walk or in public yet, but he is adjusting to it nicely. Hopefully by the time of the bash Mr. Shay is completely used to is and walks nicely for everyone when he comes up. I want him to make a nice impression on everyone.

MD, VA, DC, Boxer Lovers are planning a SHINDIG Boxerworld style!!!

Hey I met a woman today while walking Blade in the park. She was a jogger. We spoke and she commented on how handsome Blade was. (blush) Well anyway she slowed down long enough to tell me she owns 2 boxers and has a friend who also owns boxers. Well that was the start of a long conversation while walking on the trail. I invited her and her friends to join us at the MD, DC, VA, BoxerBash Sunday March 24, 2002. I then told her the location of the dogpark on Duke Street in Alexandria VA.

The best part was when I told her to also check out and join the web site called "Boxerworld.com. She had never heard of this web site. Of course I couldn't talk long enough about the forums, the experts, the picture gallery etc. I also couldn't speak long enough about sharing ideas and getting advice from other boxer lovers as far away as Japan, Africa, Europe... you get the picture.

I also want to take the time to say thank you Olly.........We love what you have accomplished here.

I've loved reading this thread and seeing this Boxer Bash in my old neck of the woods come together. Great job, Zsara! I would give just about anything to watch the reactions of other people as they see all these Boxers congregating ~ not to mention the sight of all these Boxers walking from the library down Duke Street to the park! Please, please post pictures when it's all over and have a great time!

I just bought new camera batteries today!

I will be taking plenty of pictures as I think I have persuaded my husband to tag along to help me. My walking buddy is afraid of any dog other than Blade so she said she will NOT be attending.

Also for those planning on attending in the feedback/Moderators forum there is a post that shows you where we can download on Boxerworld transfers to make T-Shirts to wear. I think I will try. :D :p
