When we took Scarlet to a new dog park last week end we brought:

a towel or two for slobber. (I have never seen my boxer slobber that much in my life! All the excitment I guess.)

We brought a jug of water and a bowl. (even though the park supplied water & bowls)

We brought treats. (every dog in the park loved us)

I also suggest poop bag & hand shovel.

Leash & collar w/ID.

Wear OLD clothes, shoes & jacket! (We learned the hard way not to wear good clothes & shoes!)

I think we should all pack our own lunch, snacks & drinks in a cooler. It might be too difficult to try and cook out.

Hopefully, there will be picnic tables--bring a blanket just in case?

Bring a camera!

Got and idea! Lets do something to...

Recognize each other...maybe wear a certain color, make T Shirts and wear them w/ Boxer theme. Or at the least some type of Name tag. What do you guys think?:D


Am I excited or what? How bout dressing our babies up some kind of way?

Sounds like fun! Maggie will be 5 1/2 months by then and she's had all her shots so I think we're in. I'll have to talk to my husband and son. My son's birthday is that week and we usually do some kind of party over the weekend but we can probably work around that. For now, count us in! Maggie is attending puppy classes starting this week so hopefully she'll behave herself.

I emailed everyone just to make sure all who expressed interest were advised. Last count including me there are 13 wanting to party with their boxer babies

I'm sure there are more boxer lovers who would be interested in attending. Help spread the word.


What do you think about T shirts/name tags or someway to identify each other....of course our boxers will be a tail tail sign..:D :p

I think it's a great idea. T-shirts would be fun but what if it's cold and we have to wear jackets over them? Name tags are a must so we'll know each other. Maybe a specific color would be good. We have to keep in mind we're going to get dirty so we don't want to get too elaborate! Everyone start brainstorming!

I've marked my calendar and me and Nino will definitely be there. Can't wait to meet everyone. Nino has never played with another boxer so I'm real excited about it.

Hey - I'm here. Thanks Zsara for the heads up. March 24 1:00 p.m. Sunday at Alexandria dog park!! YEAHH!! We'll be there - I will clear all transports off my lists. I like the shirt or hat identifier, that's a cool idea. I will have of course Max, Shay and Leo and I might have a boxer mix foster (see how things work out this weekend) so that means hubby and at least one child will be in attendance. Gotta keep up the child labor thing or my kids get spoiled and think they have it easy or something.

I think name tags and the boxers will be enough to identify everyone. But then...it would be easy for everyone to wear a certain color too...

Would we put our screen names on the name tags or just our names? Maybe both?

I will be with two boxers and a set of parents...Im leaving the fiance at home :D

Im also goin wedding dress shopping while I am in town...so this will be a great weekend

Name tags and a Special Color

Sounds good without going through a large expense. Any other suggestions? If we go with a certain color...then maybe most will already have a T Shirt with that color in their wardrobe. I pray it will be a sunny 70 degree day!:D
