A Call to Boxer Lovers in MD DC VA areas

Okay call me idiot... haha.. i am trying to fiqure out something that is kind of inbetween all of us, any suggestions, richmond is roughly 3 hour away, indian head maryland is going to be rougly the same distance, ellicot city - i dont think they have replied yet- is also the same, i wonder what is roughly 1.5 away or 2 hours??? any suggestions?

I checked out the dogpark website. Seems like Virginia has the most dog parks to pick from (especially fenced). Should we try to do it in the spring when the weather is nicer? Of course, at the rate we're going winter may never get here

If we continue to recruit additional boxer owners in the DC MD VA areas who are interested and start planning the location perhaps in the spring we can set a date and have a BIG BOXER BASH!!! lovicon fiesta1ico appicon

Since it is now The Christmas Holiday Season and the weather will be questionable at best, Let's continue to put the word out and gather interest. The Alexandria VA. dog park is the only Dog Park in my area I've heard of. I haven't visited it for myself but figure having a location that it pet friendly is one of the bigest obsticals that we would face trying to get a lot of people together.


Perhaps one of us could check out the site to see if we need any type of special permit to reserve a special location and/or lot within the park. Awaiting feedback and suggestions. I'm excited How bout you!!!!!!!:D

Hi everyone.... I am so excited that so many people are responding. I think Spring is a wonderful time to plan this boxer bash.. it gives us enough time to get some more people interested and to plan everything.
I have not been to the alexandria dog park but i have heard that it is very nice... is alexandria to far for everyone else? it is about an 1 hr from me. i am going to do some web surfing today to see what i can find as my husband would say i dont do any work anyways. :D
I have an idea. if we are in forums and we see someone that lives in VA,DC,MD i think we should send them an email and tell them about this forum and for them to check it out. what do you think? i would love to have a HUGE boxer bash
Let me know what you think about alexandria or if we need to go further into VA. i am agreeable to whatever

Alexandria is okay for me. It is about 1 hour and 15 minutes north for me. No biggie :D Keep me posted on the details!
