I would say the end of March or beginning of April. Not that you have to plan around me but just thought I'd throw it out that I will be traveling on business April 4-10 ;) Other than that, I am open. What about Peggy G and Scarlet? We've gotten together with them and had a blast. Peggy is in Maryland. Maybe they can join us!

I was just thinking that we've never taken ours to a dog park before. There isn't one locally. I am afraid my dogs will go nuts their first time. What have your experiences been?

Aimee i am with you, i think Subi will go crazy also, i have never been to a dog park either so it should prove to be interesting :) Do you think you could email scarlett and Peggy g and see if they are interested? the more the merrier. i think march is better as well, i am out of town the 19-30 of april. i dont have a march calendar so maybe we should just post some dates and see what sounds the best???

How about March 23rd or 24th (Saturday or Sunday)? Easter falls early this year and is on March 31st so that weekend is pretty much out for alot of people I am sure. I figure the later in March it is the better our weather should be. Let me know what y'all think and I'll email Peggy :)

I figure that date is fine...

I spoke to Lexus' mom and she says she can do a Sunday but no Saturdays...and she too is concerned about Lexus' reaction at a dog park.

Mine have been to dog parks...Dayla suffers from lead aggression which makes our trips for her a little difficult...

Shannon Lexi too is lead aggressive  We've tried and tried to work with her but we've had no luck. When Peggy brought Scarlet over for a playday, Lexi's collar actually came unsnapped when she was lunging and growling at Scarlet. Once she realized she was face to face with her with no restraint, she ran back and sat by me  . She isn't aggressive off lead, just on but she doesn't have really good play manners. She's as rough as the boys.

I feel your pain!

Dayla is a nut! If I introduce her to other dogs in the backyard she is fine and she will play bow with them and everything...but when that leash is on her, forget about it, she growls and the hair on her back stands up

There was one time this didnt happen...we went to Petsmart one day and there was this beautiful male, intact Boxer and she immediately started wiggling and play bowing with him while on her lead! I think she liked him:D

Hey guys, Sunday is better for me as well. The nice thing with the dog park in VA is that it has fenced and unfenced areas, so i guess we can try the fenced area first with them off their leashes and then if we feel good we can always move to the unfenced area. I am not too worried about Subi, she can get along with almost EVERYONE and ANYONE :)
