I just wanted to let everyone know that although there haven't been charges brought YET, the county ACO is gathering the information to bring criminal charges against these people. She will NOT be getting any of her dogs back.

The least that we hope for is sanctions against this couple which state they can never have another dog.

This was obvious neglect that lasted many years. On our site, we have some close ups of the "sores, callouses, lumps, bumps, etc..." which are obvious that they aren't new! http://www.boxerbuddies.org/jersey_five.htm

Thankfully, the five we have in our program are doing well despite all their medical issues. They are all overwhelmingly sweet :)

Super Boxer
Sue,

Thank you so much for the update. I have been on your web page and saw the appalling conditions of these poor furbabies. It totally amazes me that these angels are still willing to love and trust after what they have been through in their short lives. I still think these "people" should be dropped in a septic tank on their heads and left there. There is no excuse for what they have done and they should be made to pay for their crimes. I only hope that NJ laws have the gumption to prosecute. I know some states are way too lenient.

I witnessed a horrendous case of neglect with Saddlebred and TWH horses in my own state (MD). They were standing in stalls, in manure so high that their backs were hitting the rafters. To make a long story short, animal control didn't have the "guts" to do anything. They said as long as they had food and water there was nothing they could do. B*** S***!!! The horses were finally given to rescue, but not before some of them had to be euthanized. Nothing was done to the owners:mad:

Please let us know how things are progressing.

Just as an FYI, Second Chance is selling shirts to raise money for these dogs. I just saw it on their web site.
