1st winter storm

This is our 1st winter storm of the season, & its wicked! We have a solid sheet of ice over everything, abt. an inch,I just hope we don't loose elec. tonight!My Cletus loves the cold & ice,he has been driving us crazy wanting to go outside,dh takes him out as long as he can stand it, & Cletus wants more.Susie on the other hand, likes the warm inside & I'm glad,I can't stand this cold icy weather!How many of you are getting blasted by this monster?LOL & STAY WARM!Hanley

We are being blasted twice

Here in Southeast MO we got about 1" of ice with about 10" of snow on top of it, now tonight we are supposed to get about 6-10 more inches.

I pray we don't lose power,a lot of people in West Memphis area are out of power,all hotels are full & a lot are stranded trying to travel for the holidays.We still have more snow & ice coming through.Hanley

Janie, my dog won't wear a coat either & he loves this snow & ice.I'm afraid he will get sick,we aren't use to this kind of weather here.LOL,Hanley

Our storm is coming a day latter than projected. The snow is really coming down. It is so beautiful. If only I didn't have to drive in it. I also wish my dog would wear a coat. That could be her Christmas present to me but NOOOOO!

We got pounded. Our area received 20 inches of snow and we had wind so it drifted. We shoveled a path from the house to the garage to walk in and on each side is at least four feet of snow. Our dogs always use the potty on each side of that walkway to the furthest edge of the yard. They tried to go over there and fell in and became instantly frightened. After they pulled themselves out of the snow they decided to use the walkway that we shoveled. We are definately snowed in for a few days...
