12 year diagnosed with cardiomyopathy med question (side effects)

Yesterday I brought in Tyson to the cardiologist bc he has been coughing since September 20th. I first thought it was just allergies but after time and getting an x ray and blood work done his BNT ( chemical they look for in blood test on heart) came back extremely high.

After the cardiologist came in from Tyson's echo he immediately put him on 4 different heart meds.
Furosemide 40 MG - 1.5 tab every 12 hours
Enlapril- 20 mg- 1/2 tablet every 12 hours
Pimobendan 10 mg- 1 tablet every 12 hours
Sota 120 mg- 1/2 tablet every 12 hours

I understand extra urination is part of this but wanted to know how extreme this has been for anyone that unfortunately has already gone through this. Also, if anyone had any feedback on any of the above prescribed medications. Tyson is still very happy playing with our 3 year old twins but I'm not naive and understand he only has months to live :( If I can just shake his cough and get him comfortable that would be a success.

Fortunately, I have never had experience with heart problems. I hope the medications help and he lives for a long time, I am sending lots of positive vibes your way! -------->>>>>>>>

My boy Thor was Sotal0l for years without any side effects. I have no experience with the other meds. I hope the meds work and you get many more years with Tyson.

PS the laughing emoji came up because on here when you type l-o-l the emoji show even if it is at the end of the word. I use a zero instead of an "O".

I'm so sorry you are having to go through this with Tyson.

My girl had cardiomyopathy as well and was put on all of the meds you listed above. We had to do some kidney tests after I think 2 weeks of being on the meds to check her kidneys to make sure the dosage was correct. She was incontinent so we did end up lowering one of her dosages but I'll see if I can find out which one here if you'd like. I posted what I could for my Roxy and I think if you do a search on Cami's she has quite a bit here too. We took her in every 3 months or so following that for blood work and possibly medication adjustment.

I know our cardiologist did and holter which helped us determine what meds are necessary as well.
