10 years, THANKS BW

It's official....I have been a member of Boxer World for 10 years.
I want to thank Olly, the moderators (past & present), all of the members and my girls....Cami who is no longer with us and Raine who never ceases to amaze me.

This site has been a 2nd home for me. It has brought me much joy and comfort over the years. It has taught me so much about Boxers, dogs in general and that the generosity of "strangers" is oftentimes more meaningful than that of a known friend or family member. Knowing that we all share the same goal (happy Boxers) makes us a tight knit group! We have laughed together, cried together and supported each other in times of happiness and devastation. I am proud to be a member of BW and am thankful for its existence.

The past 10 years have brought many changes to my life and I have survived them when they were bad with a lot of kindness sought and received from this site and its members.

THANK YOU BW for being a part of my life for the past 10 years. Here is to the next 10!!

Wow! When you posted this I had to go back and look at when I joined... seems like I've also been here for 10 years!! (a little over even). :eek:

I second everything you said. Even my husband is now a "believer" and will often say something like "did you check on BW?" anytime we come across any dog concerns.

I had to check my date too. It says, July 2000, but I think that it is only the date when Boxerworld switched to this format. Olly would know.

And thanks to you too Susi, as above you have given insightful advice (particularly health advice). I checked my date and was surprised to see 2001 - two years after I brought Diva home. A lot of 'water under bridge' since then - both good and bad

Susi, well said and couldn't agree more! I might add you are one of the reasons why BW is great. Having read your many posts on heart issues and MCTs has helped me, and I am sure loads of others, understand and get through these issues. So Thank you as well!

Susi, I feel like we went thru a lot together when Indy was diagnosed and then Cami. Having never met or spoken to you I know there is a bond formed here with all of our boxer loving family. Being able to talk about my thoughts and fears, treatments and medications, knowing that I wasn't judged only knowing that there was so much love and support. When my family and friends didn't understand I had you and all of the support I needed right here.

Here's to hoping we have many, many more years of stories with Raine and Bode!!

HAPPY 10yrs!!!!!! I agree with everyone else ....VERY WELL SAID . I have only been a member for 5 yrs but have gained so much insight and knowledge from you, the moderators and other members. I may not post a lot and may not be able to visit everyday but I am familiar and very grateful for the users that contribute regularly.
