K8IE
Boxer Insane
I can't believe it has been one year already since we said goodbye to our sweet boy. He was almost ten years old and had inoperable lung cancer so we did what was best and saw him off to the rainbow bridge on the morning of January 6th, 2007.
Dear Killian,
Time has flown since you left, but not a day has gone by that I haven't looked at your pictures, thought of you, missed you, or cried over you. You were the best boy and will never be forgotten or missed any less. I miss your smushy face and the way your tongue hung out because of your crooked jaw. I miss cuddling with you. I miss playing frisbee in the back yard. I miss the way you followed me all over the place. I miss you so much. Now we have Cooper, who is a wonderful pup, and we love him so much. In many ways he reminds us of you, and that is comforting, and heartbreaking at the same time. I swear sometimes when I look into his eyes I see your eyes staring back at me. Your little human brother still misses you like crazy, he loves Cooper, but you were his first "brother". When we got down all our Christmas decorations this year, he cried while unpacking all the dog ornaments that you had given him over the years and lovingly placed them on our tree. He placed the last one you gave him in a special place for all to see. Cooper took over the tradition of giving him an ornament this year, we found a cute little bulldog puppy ornament. I know that you are happy now, and that you are running, wiggling, and playing with all the other Boxers and being your silly self. I just want you to know that your family loves you and misses you. Take care sweet boy.
Love,
Mom
