Leo's Mommy

Boxer Buddy
I am having no luck with this family. Obiviously just not sure so fine. Goodbye to them. Any luck yet? I saw the pitbull thing. My experience iwht pitbull is not a good one. They seem to always be great dogs, with other dogs and children and then...well then ears get bitten off. Completely scares me! Not that theirs won't be great...just personally, freaks me out. I would hate to see Bosco get hurt. Anyway, let me know. We still have room here. Hint hint! Still interested just not sure how you would feel about us just getting and still having a tough time training puppers. Baylee is great, but the man in the home is still feeling over ran and wants a little boy too. He keeps asking me if I have heard anything. So, let me know so I can make my hubby happy. Give me your input on what you think about adding two new boxers to one home? My heart is still sick about Leo and not a day goes by that I don't miss him or think of him. But heck, I got room in my heart! Tee Hee! Boxers are so addicting...great little furry people! Anyway, hope to hear from you.

By the way...where did I learn how to type? Could I possibly add anymore run on sentences to that! Geez! Take care!!

Leo's - No problem with the other family. As for the pit bull family, they couldn't take him in anyway.

As far as YOU taking him in? NO PROBLEM. I've never had experience with 2 dogs much less 2 Boxers. I do know that Bosco had a Boxer playmate and they got along perfectly. He was about 3 or 4 months older than Bosco.

I'll PM or email you my contact info and we can talk more.

EDIT - For some reason, the public profile is not viewable. Mods, can you look into this so I can contact Leo's? I'm logged in but it's saying that I don't have privledges. THANKS!!

Did Bosco find a home?

Did Bosco go to a good home or are you still looking? I live in SD and am looking to adopt.

You need to read the News forum. Those privileges have been removed due to member abuses - a lot of which were in this forum. There are also several threads about it in the contact mods forum, the computer forum, and the chit chat forum. I'd suggest reading the rules while you're at it. You can't post email or other contact details anywhere on Boxerworld. If you have a boxer for adoption or are wishing to adopt, you need to contact a rescue organisation. The rescue forums here are for people to let rescues know about or seek advice about their dog, and for approved not-for-profit rescue groups to post about the dogs they have available.

I read thru other adoption threads and didn't know I abused any rules. Please direct me to the rule that I abused...

Incredible. Try to get my boy placed in a good home and basically you're forcing me to give him up to the pound. If you read the thread, I tried contacting rescue organizations with absolutely no luck. Just incredible...

From the rules:
Rescue forums

Boxerworld is not a classified advertising service. You cannot sell dogs on this site. If you have a boxer for adoption, please contact your local boxer rescue. Links to dogs available for adoption may be posted in the adoptions forum. Do not post private contact information here (see board rules above) - members who do so will be removed.

Only approved rescue groups with not-for-profit status and participating on BW can mention their rescue group/site on the board. There is a list of approved rescues and their representatives in the General Rescue forum. Send email to if you think your rescue group fits these conditions and only after approval you are authorized to post your link.

gmacleod - First of all, I'm not selling my dog. He is 100% up for adoption so I'm not sure where you got that information from.

Second, as I've already mentioned, there are no local rescue organizations in San Diego. I've tried Las Vegas, my last attempt, but communication broke down for some reason. They were the most promising because they did not have any boxer's available but a waiting list of families. At least that's what I was last told.

Finally, if the adoption thread is just for assistance, why are there other threads from users trying to find homes for their boy/girl as well?

I still don't see where I broke any rules. Please clarify.

Thanks...

As stated in the rules: if you have a dog for adoption, you need to contact a boxer rescue organisation.

You can't post private contact details on this site, so how is a potential adopter going to contact you? You need to work through or with a rescue group.

The PM system has been withdrawn and there are no plans for reinstatement. Yes, there have been people in the past who have advertised their dogs for adoption here - and it is partially because of abuses in that area that the PM system has been withdrawn (including, btw, people "adopting" dogs only to on-sell them, use them for breeding, or worse). The rules have since been changed to ensure that it is only rescue groups with the skills and experience to place dogs on a face-to-face basis who are placing links to the dogs they have available for adoption here.

As always, rule updates are notified in the News forum.

Escondido Boxer Rescue

bosco17-

There is a boxer rescue just north of u in Escondido. if you google it, you will find links to their webpage, which has just recently been updated. good luck

-Kat

ps. there is also Boxer Rescue LA (a bit further north). and i don't think anyone is forcing you do give him up to a pound. Rescue is not the same as the pound.. and rescue will ensure that the perfect home is found. if you haven't had much sucess trying to find the perfect home on your own, if i were you, i'd be doing all i could to get in contact w/ any rescues in CA. rescues often will do transports..

Boxer Rescue Los Angeles

I work with BRLA and I know we will transport from San Diego. I was going to pick up two Boxers from San Diego Shelter at request of our founder and president but another rescue beat us there.

Website is www.boxer-rescue-la.com if you still require help from a rescue.
