It's not set in stone yet but I thought I'd post this up now to gauge interest. Bosco was born on November 23, 2003. He is a well mannered young boy and very energetic. He has completed puppy kindergarten at the local humane society and passed with flying colors. He is crate trained and I'd say about 95% house trained. I leave the 5% for any mistakes... He hasn't had one in a very long time. He's also bell trained when he REALLY needs to go. Otherwise, it's pretty obvious when he does. He'll get real antsy and start whimpering. He likes long walks on the beach and can pretty much walk off-leash without having to worry about going up to other people or other dogs. I haven't tried it yet but at dog beach, he just seems to mind me and nothing or no one else. He has been fixed.

Once the decision is final, I'll make arrangements to contact me for more details or to take him for a "test drive".

Thanks,
Chris

As of tonite, Bosco is available to a good home. I will consider shipping him but the new owner will be responsible for all costs.

Thanks in advance for any interest.

I don't want to seem like I'm prying, but why can't you keep him. (you can feel free not to answer that) :)

shannon - Let's just say that it's in his best interest to be in a home that can dedicate more time to him. Unexpected personal matters led to this unfortunate circumstance. :(

im sorry to hear about your unfortunate situation. :( im sure you are doing what you feel is best for your boy. Have you contacted your local boxer rescue yet? if not, i would say do that right away. Good luck.. I hope everything works out for the best.

I had a family lined up that appeared to get along with Bosco fine. This morning there was a complication with the 5 year old son. The 7 year old son was so determined to have Bosco that he threatened the 5 year old to not say anything about his fear of Bosco because of Bosco's size. That appears to be a bump on the road. We may be going back for a second visit but it's not looking very good right now because of the threat issue that the older boy put on his brother. Also, the possibility of the younger boy resenting Bosco because of the fear factor and maybe even his family for bringing in Bosco and disregarding his fears.

Isn't there a Boxer Rescue in your area?

Just curious as to why you are not looking into that option...?

rog - I agree. I don't think it's going to work out. The mom is very experienced with animals, not just dogs. I'm not sure what they're doing but they're obviously trying to sort that issue out first. I think it's inevitable that they will decided against taking in Bosco.

courtney - I've been looking into that option. So far most none of the rescues have returned my call/email/contact with them. We'll see how that all goes.

Boxer Buddy
Is Bosco still available?

We are located in Modesto. We are willing to drive to you to visit. We just last week lost our baby, Leo. We got him when he was about 1 and a half years old. He was wonderful and our kids absolutely loved him. We do have an older cat that Leo could care less about and she felt the same way about him. I rec'd your link after deciding that in order to move on, I need a new best friend. We have an 1800 sq. ft home we are in the process of remodeling and we have a very large yard. Although we do not spend much time at the beach we did take Leo on regular walks and he basically went everywhere that my husband did. Let me know what you think. Tracy
I posted my story under Rainbow Bridge if you would like to read about our family and our Leo. Although I stated that I am unsure if I wanted another Boxer so soon, I am willing to visit Boscoe and by his picture I am certain that I can open my heart to him. I will wait here. Thank you.
