Nope no doggy door - and this time of year they go out to do their business then right back in. I do wonder if they found something in the woods/bush where my husband sometimes brings them to run.
We can't find anything... I searched the yard for anything that they could have gotten into but nothing... mind you they could have eaten the evidence. I guess the good news is they are both feeling better, I just wish I knew what happened so I could prevent it from happening again!!
Thanks
Hello all... first let me say that I've been to the vet and they've done tests and we will be going to see the dog neurologist next week... I'm just wondering if anyone has any ideas as to what could cause this and what I should ask for from the vet
Monday Morning I found my boxer Thor (5.5...
Well Loki went to the vet and apparently it's not an abscess. The lump is just a bunch of swolen soft tishue - so i'm assuming thats like a fat lip? The vet's not sure what it is since she's never seen it before, but her best guess is that just like what would have casued the abscess she...
Thanks. Took her to the vet and it's an absess. The vet things she probably got a thorn or something stuck, and basically it becomes infected. Doesn't really surprize me cause she belives everything is worth chewing on. So tomorrow she has to go back in and gets put under to have the fluid...
I Woke up this morning and was greeted my girl and the side of her face is swollen. Looked like her gums were hanging out. so I felt it and she has a lump the size of a golf ball on her jaw line/gum area. Poor girl. :(
It don't seem to be bothering her other than she's not as hyper as she...
I meant to update you all on Thor's condition earlier - but I just haven't had the chance.
But the news is good-ish. Basically, he was vomiting all the time and after a barrium study showing he has ulsers and 2 differant drugs to stop the vomiting, I think we're back to assuming it's food...
Poor Thor threw up again this morning :(
I really was hoping the meds would stop it but looks like it's still happening. I know they're helping, but now the vet put us on another med for a week. Something that will help settle his stomach. I feel like i'm starting my own dog pharmacy
I know it so great to know that she knows our dog breed probably better than any other. She loves them, knows a lot about them, and she is planning to start to breed them too. Apparenlty, any boxers she has ever seen from the area have a lot of problems, so she went to a reputable breeder from...
I think she would look cute too, but my boyfriend is very against putting clothes on dogs. Mind you I did convince him to get a coat for them for the winter, so you never know haha
Hello, we have a white boxer pup, and I've heard that white boxers, are more prone to sunburn. I was just wondering if that's true, and if so what I can do to make sure Loki dosn't burn. Can you use sunscreen on a dog?
thanks
Thank you everyone for your positive thoughts! He was much better all weekend – he hasn’t thrown up at all since Friday morning. The new vet had given him some medicine that coats his throat and stomach in the hopes it would sooth any irritation and possibly prevent him from continuing to...
Today was a good and bad day for Thor. He threw up in his crate last night and then again this morning, only this morning there was blood in it. We called the vet and all they said was I guess we'll send you for a $1000 + biopsy that we can't afford. We were not really happy with that since...
No, the vet didn't suggest anything about his diet - which actually surprised me, since every time we've ever brought him in about diarrhea or vomiting that's the first thing they suggest.
As for being lethargic maybe a little today, but he’s still running around and playing with our other...
Thor is 10 months and gets 4-6 cups of medical-gastrol food split between 3 meals - we tried to cut him back but as soon as we did he started losing weight, and he's slim/fit now so we didn't want that - so we put it back up
Loki who is 13 weeks gets 1 1/2 - 2 cups of performatran split...
