We gave Spanky a rope toy when he was a pup but as soon as he was able to get some threads off, in the trash it went! We can't give him stuffed toys either. The only thing we found that he was able to be left with is his "Kong" and his Nylabone(which he loves). We supervise him with the kids...

Spanky is 3 yrs old...70 lbs. He's not a big dog but he's all muscle. Very strong. But the thing is he's still growing.

Kathleen....I now what you are saying when you talk about the heat. Since we live in Florida too.......it is usually too hot to take Spanky for walks...Im five months pregnant and he is way over-heated before I am:) We have a doggie door and a fenced in back yard so he can go out and play...
