Dont wanna say bye to our baby....

If you still feel you can't let her in, please find her a less germophobic home. Please don't put her down for something that most puppies have. On a brighter note, recent studies suggest that kids who grow up with pets have strogner immune systems. Which totally makes sense. Hoping for...

    Does Anyone Use Advantix?

My boxer had the same reaction to Advantix as DaisyPie's, the skin looked just horrible and it took 5 months to heal. I will never ever touch that stuff again. Thing is, I'm afraid to use any of them now. Also very interested in natural alternatives. The good thing is he's on raw and doesn't...

    Puppy Puking everyday

Has it gotten any better that way? If the RMB is mostly chicken neck, aim at 50% a day and the rest boneless food. Yes, it could be worms too. Hope it works out.

    Puppy Puking everyday

Have you been feeding just chicken necks? If so, the problem is too much bone, you need to alternate with softer stuff. Like necks in the morning, boneless meat and organs in the evening. Best wishes!

    Is this true?

My dog reacts horribly to Advantix. It looked like nuclear explosion on his back - and took 4 months to clear up. He is on raw and since the switch I did notice that the ticks don't like him any more. I put Advantix on him only once because we went to Italy. Now I have no idea what we'll...

    Itchy Paws

Just my two cents: when my dog was having paw issue, I found out he can't have ANYTHING plant related, not a tiny bite of it. Not even canned fish that has been in vegetable oil. Excludig all plant/grain from his food did the trick. His paws were bad, but he never chewed on them. And it was...

    Anyone else with pemphigus?

It was such a relief when it cleared up! His were never itchy though, just painful to walk on. And it started really innocently too, it looked like he had walked over shredded glass, little half-invisible red spots... When I was searching information on this subject, I remember pemphigus...

    Anyone else with pemphigus?

Hi, Can you describe the symptoms? I think I went through something similar last year. We didn't get definitive diasgnosis, and I'm still under the impression that they just put names on the so called autoimmune disorders. Anyway, pemphigus was mentioned among other things. Long story...

    quick question about beef tails

Thanks. He is having his usual bedtime pillow fight and not showing any discomfort. Damn, the beef tails are uncomfortably small. We took a long hard look at them before we gave him one and thought it's about as big as a half a chicken neck. That goes usually down just like that. Hopefully it...

    quick question about beef tails

Just fed him one an hour ago and so far no problems. He kind of chewed it after throwing it up once. At least I heard crunching noises. It should be digestible, right?

    quick question about beef tails

Hi, What do you think about feeding beef tails? They are about 4 cm long and about 4-5 cm in diameter, quite meaty. They do look like he could swallow the bone part whole. Will it digest if he does? How have your dogs done on them? I'll be thankful for any input...

    Blisters in paws?????

Oh, I forgot to mention that while searching this board on this subject last year, I found one or two cases where he "interdigital cysts" solved finally after a real expensive antibiotic course. Some newer drugs I guess. And about the management — when he was still on kibble (and changing...

    Blisters in paws?????

Jep, that's me. My boxer boy had the blisters for 9 months last winter and they solved finally after dropping all the veggies from the barf diet. Actually he can't have anything plant-based at all, not even canned fish that has been in vegetable oil, even after puoring the oil out. I'm still...

    Immune Complex Disorder???

Hi, I don't know about immune complex disorder but I know about raw, blisering, abcessing paws. And the doctors basically said the same - immune disorder. I refused steroids and one course of antibiotics showed me it's back as soon as we finish the antibiotics. So after changing foods and...

    Help Needed !!!

Hi, I was about to post the story in barf forum in autumn but now it's gonna be here. I fought with the same paw problem from last autumn till spring. It was a daily (or ten times a day) fight: salt baths, green tea and aspirin baths, ACV, shampoos (nizoral, hexocil, etc.), changing foods...
